You know it's a sad day when yard work sounds better than games or internet.

I don't usually say this - but if anyone needs me, I'll be out back clearing weeds and feeding the burn pile. Got carpfish in my feelz and can't trust my fingers here today.

*Eleven Hours Later*

Amazing what a bit of anger does for yard work progress. Much clearing and burning ensued - tho no books/magazines. ...yet.

Otoh, the bungled rotator cuff that I've been getting PT for in hopes of dodging surgery... Well, preparing for my therapist's lecture tomorrow morning.


Remember when this started as the devils/demons got renamed to pacify ... Pfft. ...someone, whoever. It never ends.

Where it ends, the game of the future... Nondescript amorphous blobs carry around rocks and sticks BUT not allowed to hit things with them. Can only sit around discussing the various virtues and hues of their rocks and sticks. Worst thing, is there wouldn't be any fishing there, either.

making a trip to SG day after, sponsored by my sister's BF, to surprise her and my mom.
all stocked up on goodies since i'm finally earning now.

taxes didn't chunk my paycheck too hard this month either, so have some party money for new year's :P

Well, can say we've had better holidays.

We already had family drama draining the spirit, then just a bit ago we had to make a run to an emergency vet. One of our elder cats began having pain and seizures. It wound up being a blood clot blocking the saddle arteries that supply the lower body/back legs. He was 14-15 years old or so and the treatment would have been long and painful, so we let him go about a half hour into xmas.

Once the sun got up a bit, we started the day cutting frozen ground and roots. Laid him next to our others around our designated apple tree.

Got back in and warmed up then tried to regain some spirit of the day.

My mother does beadwork and jewelry making. The highlight of my morning was this beaded hangie thing. The beads are TINY - like if they're a mm each, it'd be stretching it. Took her about 3 months to finish and managed to keep it hidden during the process.

well, i finally got covid a few days back.
nothing serious, but i'm stuck in a room at my sister's place and i'm missing all my comforts of home. Wouldn't have minded home quarantine, but this is sister quarantine.

no partying either i guess, but i'm not mourning that so much.

When I had covid (end of '20) I ignored one small piece of the dr advice, get up and move around as much as possible.

Because I ignored that one bit of advice, I got pneumonia. THAT put me out harder than the covid did.

Moral of the story? Listen to your Dr.

I hope you are okay out there db? Haven't heard a peep since covid. Everything is okay here except my mom's birthday is coming up... she would have been 63 this year. I am sad. Should I make a cake anyway? I feel like I should.

You answered it right there at the end. Trust your feeling. It should bring back happy memories, even though the sad will still be standing near.

New visits from our Covid-friend in the household. Wife and daughter got the brunt of it this time, hefty flu symptoms but both on the mend at this point.


Trying to hold focus on HC, but just so burned out dunno if I'll even make a 20 this round. Not missing the Hounds at all tho.
