Oh no. Won't that cause a balance issue when you cast Fly on yourself? Every time I see a wizard cartwheeling in the sky I think to myself, "his hair is too short for that beard" or "his beard is too short for that hair". I wonder what the Air Force Wizard's Manual recommends.

Meanwhile.... First log in after update was a fun one. Settings got erased, so everything fell back to default - including the intro movie playing, AT FULL VOLUME!!! At 2 in the morning. Woke up the enter house.

Got that all shut down, plugged ear buds in, got in to game to find all my display settings erased and defaulted. Saw how the newfangled storage looks on my machine... useless.

Haven't logged in again since. Will see when I'm in the mood to juggle all my carpfish back into place.

Thought I had an RNG robe similar to the Fey one you were hunting for, Ael. (I somehow lost track of it and dissolved it after the screenie - forgetting to re-equip it. Yeah, I do dumb carpfish like that occasionally)

Also, running some 'quick' favor runs for some of my alt accounts. ('Quick' being a huge misnomer for non-VIP accounts.)

But anyhow, usually my first step out of shipwreck is the Basement for a couple items and plat to get started. Very first run on this one...

Got my 20 on HCL last night. Careful picking of shorter quests, mostly on Normal, and a lot of Explorer time. DD roll was kind and gave me a 5-stack of Slayer pots early on. Will never do this Hound thing, or anything like it, ever again. Too much Real Life going on where sometimes ya just need to close yourself in an empty room and go deal with stuff.
Do like the HCL-VI glowy eyed cloak tho it hangs funky, kinda pooched out at the shoulders. Probably just continue using my HCL-II cloaks.


There were places I'd have liked to go, but still the Adventure list is positively unhelpful trying to find places you haven't been. "This adventure has not yet been started" is a wasted tool-tip.

My wife and I got 1750, then I died before we hit 20. I forget what got me that time but we were pretty far along, 17 holding 18 if memory serves.

Then we got 20 by doing pretty much the same as you, shorter quests we know well and slayers at the high end.

Now we are (SLOWLY) working on 5k. May make it before HC VI ends, may not. We are moving carefully thru quests, stopping and waiting for hounds before big fights or any long swims. Slows alot of quests down. This is our second attempt (Third if you count the 1750 crew) at 5k, the previous attempt died in Promise of fire when I took massive damage from the dart traps and rather than back up into the fire tried to jump into a deadspace, and missed.
