Ahoy maties! What ye be doin' on this fine holiday? I'll be baking salmon and shrimp, making slaw and roasted corn for dinner. Listening to my favorite sea shanties and I think I'll watch Goonies with the kids. What? Its got pirates. Dead ones.
Hilarious.
We ALL know, or should know, the only real accomplishments in games are the memories we make playing with friends and family.

Post-apocalypse and Tom Hanks. This better be as good as it's potential:
I'm in a play-by-email group and the topic has come up to do some VTT sessions. So yeah, off to YouTube I go to figure out the whats & hows. So, anyway, I'm jumping vid to vid and hear Jerry/Cordovan - except, it's not Jerry/Cordovan....
Slow news day, figured I'd share.
Just passing by - thought I would say hi.

I was there, in LOTRO, for a bit until I burnt out in Moria LOL due to go back there shortly. I tried out Genshin Impact for a bit but I am not a big fan of spending money on RNG so that wore thin quickly. Then I went back to ESO for a short-while looking for a decent RP group. Due to visit SWTOR again soon.
LOL I just keep cycling around.
COVID has validated my shut-in - reclusive lifestlye. I joke that I had been training for lock-down my whole life. Not to be insensitive though towards people who this has really affected in a bad way. Love & prayers to those peeps <3 for me though its been normal so no complaints here.
hehe now you're just being nice . I try and I am learning.
Having to first learn the rules of 5E, then learn the software of FGU which is wonderful but has a learning curve. The last challenge is to remember what I learnt and recall it when necessary. Still not there yet, but soon. Then I can actually get to being fun and interesting perhaps.
Oh and Issy is one of my rope-ins LOL he is playing a crazy barbarian halfling that was raised by Dwarfs. OMGsh it is hilarious and chaotic. Doing LMOP we got to Cragmaw Castle and found the Owlbear and he had the great idea.
"Hey lets drag it through the whole castle and pull everything!"
- the classic zerg. It worked, I am a benevolent GM. We had lots of giggles remembering the 'Red Dungeon Alerts' from the days of old."

Another random finding during my random wanderings to & fro 'cross the interlands.... (This after watching over an hour of a guy digging secret tunnels under his house to his survival bunker...)
Okay, here's 5 1/2 minutes you NEED in your life.
Baelin has a rough day, kinda like his escort...
Poor Baelin, she should have let him use his fishing pole like a quarterstaff, we've seen he can take on his fair share that way.
If you guys have access to Vudu or tubi, you should try Toonstone.

You know the old saying, be careful what ya wish for? Like letting slip you almost wish you'd catch a case of the Covid thing to get a couple weeks off w***?
Well, yeah. Did it, got it, and it sucks. Will update later when I can sit here without feeling like I'm choking out a half-lung. Wife just got her test results today as well, so misery loves company and all that carpfish.

Hey y'all. Home now. 4 days in hospital with most of the fixings (no ICU or intubation) trying get the C-hag to stop trying to pull my lungs out of my throat. ER intake and the "take a deep breath" for a chest X-ray gave her the chance to light me up bad enough for a team response called on me to get me stabilized. It was kinda like... well, anybody been swimming, sometimes get a little too deep and really gotta stretch that last wisp of air getting back to the surface? So lot deeper, and trying to keep that last precious air choked in fighting to the surface, and decide screw it, a breath of burning choking water is better the fighting, so you try, and it still won't move. You can't find any way to suck that gelatinous mass of air right in front of your face IN to your face. Then there's a tube, and a big mask blowing all that cool refreshing air right into your face - except for that wall of impenetrable goo between your air and your face. C-hag has her claws sunk into your ribs, picking you up and slamming you back down on the bed, laughing and cackling and just having a mighty good ol' time for herself. Each slam, you feel a tiny bit more of your saved up pittance of air crushed out reinforcing your manic drive to get to that air that's JUST. RIGHT. OUT. THERE..... Then just by tiny tiny bit, those blowing tubes and mask finally start cracking the seal and little wisps of air finally start creeping in. You begin hearing some of their comments like full open at 100% percent volume - and you're getting some wisps. Then whiffs. Then almost a whole breath. Then your heart-rate starts letting you settle back on the gurney and the team begins pulling the C-hag off of you.
*ahem* yeah. Or something kinda like that anyway. *dismissive shrug* [right]
Once I finally got that first full breath of 100% O2, I could finally focus on getting full slow breaths - in nose, out mouth, steady.... While a half dozen ER team members stood there watching the monitors behind me. One says, "He was down to 73." Still had to fight convulsions as my body wasn't convinced I was out of the water yet.
*I just reached over and cranked my machine up a Liter of volume for a minute as just remembering that fun made my breathing get a little funny.*
C-hag's still got her claws in me tight, but am alive enough to finish recovering at home dragging oxygen lines around with me. 2 weeks, maybe to go on this. Possibly 4. More??
---------------------
So, yeah. LOT of w*** associates had said they'd gotten the bug, felt kinda sick for a week or so, then fine. I knew the stories of the 'bad' cases. I was confident that my Con score, which had kept most bugs away from me for decades, would apply its' modifiers so the C-hag shouldn't be that much of a threat to me. I sit here very corrected. [yes, I was vaxxed.]
----------
Edit. Well, heck. Even got me a /nab. Must gonna be okay.
