I should've taken a short vid of it. With each horse doing it's "I'm bored standing here" thing, the heads were all looking back and forth at different times. Very cool animation effect.

That is neat, do the horses procreate if you put them side by side like Chocobo in Final Fantasy? (A boredom option)

I'd pay to login to see that. And make rampant YouTube videos showing all of my little ponies until a fire-breathing nightmare is born.

Well you can never be sure. I just found out last Spring that a very close friend of mine had never seen E.T. or Big Trouble in Little China or the Rocky Horror Picture Show. We dropped about a dozen movies to her house during the lockdown and the only one she didn't care for was Murder by Death, which admittedly if you've never watched or read detective movies/novels looses a great deal of the humor. I can't say I enjoyed most of the selection she sent to our house either... but I don't really care for drama without a large side order of comedy... the three best ones that we liked from her movies were I Am the Cheese, The Station Agent, and Before I Go. All of those had just enough humor to offset... the dark feels.

Her favorite that we watched first was Urban Cowboy, I do NOT recommend this movie to any one. I cannot understand what was likable about it at all. I found myself at a loss when she asked me about it. Because the most polite thing I could think was... well I didn't hate ALL the characters.

She loved E.T., that was her favorite of our selection for her. I think she likes movies that make her cry while I prefer movies that make me laugh.

Anyone who was around while our dear founding pastry herself was still actively playing would be fully familiarized with all the cast characters - until someone would report her for the names.

Of note, I've recently noticed a number of her old characters disappearing from guild rosters and other characters with those names appearing on some servers. Haven't decided yet if I'm concerned about it, or just bummed a little.

because i'm thinking of getting a small tattoo to remember this group, considering i've been here more than 10 years.


i'm planning on doing this thing with my left arm, where i get a small, simple tattoo for really important, timeless things that matter to me.
like currently it's the two paws in memory of my dog.
then maybe the cupcake.

then... we shall see.

my policy on tattoos is to let an idea sit for at least a year before i get it done, so that i know it's solid.

does that make sense? any holes in any of what i said? please do mention that stuff, since you can never be too careful with stuff like tattoos

Conspiracy? Or possibly server cleansing or do guild rosters have a limit in a very large guild? I never encountered it, but Relics was never much more than a very select group and alts I personally recruited -- maybe 60-100 characters tops on a server. Reported for Princess Bride names? Copyright worries?

Is Cupcake still in the land of the living? It's sad to ask, but the inevitable shelf life of the human condition becomes more relevant between a decade+ old game.

That makes sense and would be very cool if a DDO Veteran and/or Cupcake Muskateer tattoo was developed before the end. I'm sure there's more than one tattooed player that would get one of these after putting a good chunk of their life into this digital landscape.

Well, I still dunno if my old number for her is still her. I sent a text right after I posted this, and got a short reply this afternoon, "Who is this?". I sent back a tease/pout reply at first about being forgotten, signed of course. The sent a serious reply saying who I was, and who I was hoping the number still belonged to. ... Almost an hour now with no follow-up reply.

Got a reply back. A simple short terse "No" informed me that the number I had wasn't hers any more.

I'm just glad I had the opportunity to be here from the start. I've enjoyed playing and getting to know folks here who share the same love for D&D.
I'm glad this thread has hung around for so long. DDO is still the only game I consider paying for a sub. And I've never really been let down.
