Good morning all.
So my son's birthday was this last weekend. We were scrambling to get everything synced up and hoping the weather stayed fine, this being Texas and you never can trust the weather. I made a cake that looked like a castle, it should have been all chocolate but their were some... mistakes... so only the top layer and towers ended up being chocolate and the bottom layer ended up a butter cake. The kids didn't mind though, not with chocolate frosting and fudge filling anyway. There were water balloons, a bouncy house, and pizza.
This was the first time we had more than just family over for the birthday party and my kid's first ever sleepover. It took a whole day to clean up after everything. The worst was chocolate frosting smeared all over the toilet paper holder in the kids' bathroom that I at first mistook for something else.
My first born is nearing the first decade mark. I have very mixed feelings.
Anyone else notice the older you get the faster time goes by?
