Been stuck in my head for years.

Can't seem to get past those two small pieces of a story.

Belated wave!

Well, 38 hours without power has been an adventure.

Managed to score some dry ice before all the local stores were sold out, so saved most of the frozen stuff I think.

Must have been a heck of a storm that blew through Saturday evening... Timing. Sometimes timing is everything. Seems the storm rolled by while we were partying at Funky Town (see previous post). Never heard the rain, thunder, wind, etc. Lost power once, but apparently they have backup generators and while they only had some of the lights on, the music continued. Only clue we had about the storm was the DJs comment about it storming like crazy outside, but was gonna keep rocking the house as long as they could.

power outages are fairly common round here, so most housing complexes have 100% backup generators. so it's pretty much a must have here.

Places where I had crawled thru low flooding (that had incapacitated the idiots in cars who tried driving thru 8-10" of water at full speed) soon after got all crazy.

My daughter, bless her heart, showed me her cell phone video this morning of water piping thru our basement wall, running down past the washing machine electrical outlet, and across the floor. To show the water on the floor, she was wiggling her bare toes in it. Yeah. I had to give her the 'dad look" a couple times before it dawned on her. *sigh* That's muh girl. >_<
