The Christmas Cookie Party went well, although the Gingersnaps were not particularly popular. Most everyone was gobbling down these things they were calling Christmas Crack(ers), which apparently is nothing more than saltines covered in caramel and chocolate chips. I wasn't impressed but my kids loved them. The second most popular were thin sugar cookies dipped in creamy milk chocolate, dipped in white chocolate, sprinkled with crushed peppermints. Quite tasty. There were also some pecan and chocolate truffle treats I really liked but were too rich to eat more than one.

Despite only trying one of each treat (and not finishing all of them) I went home with a bellyache made somewhat worse by the cocoa and peppermint schnapps served at the end.

In retrospect, having salad for dinner before going to the party may not have been the best idea... but I'm at a loss as to what would have been a better idea.

The salad was a good idea, but you forgot to follow up with a prophylactic dose of Pepto.

Setting drinks out in Theme ... And cleaning the tavern till the wood seemed to sheen

when to my amazement, why He'd came in unseen…

Stood before me in here! He'd came in so Quiet…

It will either be an awesome campy sequel to the original, a mediocre move, or a complete distaster owing to it being a great movie. Given that you said Roger Corman is making it, I suspect awesome campy sequel. I'm looking forward to the return of Casanova Frankenstein.

My favorite part of the original was the just desserts served to the doctors and nurses. Was the 2008 Jason Statham movie meant to have anything to do with the original or did they just swipe the title? I've liked a couple Statham movies but mostly they're testosterone excuses without credible plots or sadly any witty quotes or even genuine laughs.

She's a fan of the Original Trilogy, and i'm a star wars fan in general, so good timing.

One good thing from sitting all day in the waiting room = I downloaded and started playing The Walking Dead: Road to Survival game on ex's fancy phone.

I didn't put any money into it, so I had to sit and watch some timers and watched other game advert videos along the way. Some of those game adverts were actually pretty funny. I am *almost* tempted to get a tablet for a couple of those games. Note the *almost*.
