Thumbs up on GW2 and LoTRo.
We went out for an early morning walk to grab some pokeballs and then over to another park to check out a geodude nest. We caught several. We also learned that we can double team an opposing team gym to bring their prestige down and take it over. So that was fun.
I think we'll try to make plans with a couple of friends to go hit up a charmander nest in IL and I still want to go down to a ponyta nest. Must have my horse pokemon! Definitely making our walks more enjoyable.

Went for smiley face pancakes at a local dive for breakfast, then as per peanut's request we went to the library. Because it's also International Geocaching Day we did a quick park-n-grab cache to get a trophy on our account (which turned out to be perfect because the cache had a small plastic dinosaur in it that the birthday girl was super excited to get.) Did cake/icecream/pizza/presents at Grandma's - I'd baked a chocolate cake and put Dora & Diego on it for her yesterday.

Now for a huge sad...
As of about 5pm yesterday, Cocoa is gone.
It was a shock yet for me expected at the same time. He wasn't bouncing back but was doing good. Something just wasn't right and I didn't have my normal optimism about it all.
As for yesterday, the best thing the vet can surmise is that colic was the cause. She used a different name for the specific type that was probably the cause but I don't remember it. She also said that it could've been a fatty tumor that caused a blockage also. He was in a lot of pain and his gums were purple so there was nothing she could do for him except help the pain end. I am thankful that my prayer was answered in that I didn't have to make the call. The vet did.
I am already missing him. We were together almost 20 years. We went through a lot together but we had eyes only for each other. He will always be my true love as far as horses are concerned and I won't stop loving him. He touched so many people with his sweet personality.
He is getting buried this afternoon on the farm where he was happy these last three years. Barb is awesome and did a wonderful job caring for him. We will be going out to see his grave and plant some carrots that I bought with their tops still on them and put a couple of apples on the grave. He's being buried in a pasture so I want to make sure what I put out is horse safe. hehe.
I am so glad that he is not in pain and won't ever be again. I'm just sad for those of us who will be missing him here.

for a bit more sad...
had a depressive episode yesterday.
i'm just sinking lower and lower right now.
i basically feel like i just want to be alone, which i know isn't good for me. things are just feeling very... tough.
