and then there is ok hugging and not ok hugging and the lines between the two get very blurry these days which makes a friendly hug scary to do sometimes :/

Had one of those moments last night:
First time in almost 15 years of doing my current job, I looked at what the clerks had done to my stock, took pix, and turned around and walked out of a store.

Just for starters, they had taken the gallons of milk off the shelves, set them on their sides in short-walled soda crates, and then stacked them 5-6 crates deep. Needless to say, the bottom gallons were now flat leaky pancakes. Etc.

Made a special trip to the shop to let my boss know what they'd done, gave him the pix, and set him loose on the store's manager. Our contracts specify we cover damage loss, but I'm pretty sure there's an "In Case Of Blatant Stupidity" clause included.

Good time for a couple vacation days.

a while back I thought of trying to market "brick wall on a keychain" for those W T F moments you seriously need a head bash. It didnt seem that much different from the bubble poping stress release mats so figured it might catch on.
Sounds like you need one though

That inevitable jump from 'girls' to 'tools'...

Our tools don't argue with us when we request them to do something.
We don't mind as much if the neighbor wants to borrow our tools.
When not in use, our tools sit quietly in their toolbox.
    ...etc.

(I'm probably in enough trouble without taking THAT comparison any further... )

Not large enough. That is more of something to throw at someone or as amo in a slingshot.

Spend some money on solid basics. They'll last you 3 decades if not a lifetime.
The spend money on odd tools as you need them. I'm still finding uses for stuff I figured I'd only use once.

aye. i already have my multitool, which has come in handy so many times.
stanley's a good, reliable company, and having a proper kit, with pouches, bags etc would be very useful.

if i go overseas for college, or i have to stay in a hostel, i plan on buying the kit and taking it with me.
alternatively, i could maybe try to save up some birthday money and buy it meself.

Just looking at US travel regulations and air flight, don't. Shipped to you would be one thing but don't take it with your person. Many of the tools would be against the rules to be with you on flight.

But by all means have tools on hand when in college.

what about check-in luggage? the only places i'd really consider applying are singapore and Japan, and using Japan's Amazon would be... tricky.
