Exactly! I was expecting a gloriously bad movie. Instead it was just poor writing, boring and yet disjointed plot, and mediocre acting. I was hoping for campy writing, quirky plot and just the right amount of over-acting to be fun. Like Space Truckers but in high-school and with a violin instead of square pigs. So, not much like Space Truckers.

*Bekki wanders in...
*Heads to the bar....
*See's bar already prepped and doubles poured for all...
*Sigh....
"Yup; that's about what I expected..."
*Makes note to make an extra order for his absence...
*Makes sure to order double his normal order of "the good stuff"
"Oh it's gonna be an interesting week...

Hi Ho all.
speaking of movies, took my daughter to see finding Dory... brilliant movie but a definate must stay to the bitter end one as well. Not sure what's with the current trend in putting bits after the credits it's not like anyone reads the credits even if they stay looking for those "extras"
CD... you should have replumbed the bar while bekki was gone to be a beer waterfall..... mmmmmm
So about this time last month i made mention to some family dramas, mostly with a truant daughter.
It turned out to be issues were with her school and a teacher leading her to run away from home as she thought we wouldnt listen. It's fixed now by shifting school and spending the last 5 weeks pretty much in each others pockets which gave her a chance to unwind and finally speak out a bit about whats going on. As part of shifting school I had to move her out of home and into our old home which was in the school zone so we could get her set up and back on track (school is over capacity so the only way to shift in was to actually live in the zone!) I went with her as well. All has been good these past 5 weeks and shes a totally different person now and totally back on track with life again - I have no regrets about doing what I did as a result.
Now the tricky part.... she dosent want to go back home. She's enjoyed living with me in a small 10m^2 area for teh past 5 weeks far more than the 240m^2 house we had before, shes not missing mum or siblings and has even mentioned that they are part of her issue, something I didn't quite believe until last sunday when 5mins into been back at mums the two of them where yelling at each other. I had to shake my head as it was like watching demon child be reborn again. So anyway ramblings aside, she knows mum and I don't see eye to eye on many things anymore and also that wifey pretty much ignored me during my recovery from injury so she floated the idea of the two of us going out flatting together. An idea i'm not anti which kinda surprised me really.
Proof is kinda in the pudding so they say and she's a loving caring thoughtful daughter around me but very pig headed around mother and mother just as much to her. From my own experiences over the past decade I don't see mother changing at all as she's steadily gotten worse over time.
So yeah, not sure if we'll go back home after this and i'm not sure thats a bad thing either.
well, guess i needed to get that out there. somethings just need to be said rather than bottled in
take care all.
I hear you.
These things are difficult to understand/feel with all the crossing expectations, morals and conflicts.
I wish you all luck and heart to feel right way forward.
For me the situation now is that everyone needs someone to accept him/her as he/she is.
Most people have trouble giving that acceptance to others.
