Speaking of the season, I had an awkward moment last night.

An obviously impaired middle-aged lady tapped me on the shoulder and asked where the ATM machine was. I politely pointed to it sitting quietly, but in plain sight, about 5 feet away. She thought that was funny, and I went back to my chores. A minute later she again taps my shoulder, then hands me $80 saying to buy my kids some Christmas gifts. She then ambled off around the store handing out cash to several other folks.

I felt bad because it was kinda like when an overly drunk girl wants to have sex, and the 'proper' thing to do is decline. But the lady was handing it out to everyone in the store, so me declining it wouldn't have made much difference overall.

Haven't actually finished shopping for gifts yet, so an extra $80 will come in handy. Just hope when she sobers up later today that she's okay with what she did. I know at least the money she gave me won't get wasted on junk like some of the other people ended up doing after she left.
