Seeing the vid someone posted of the closing of the euro servers brought back some very happy memories of the earlier days. So much so that i've given in and taken a 1 month vip to go and tinker in game again, hehe.

My son-in-law has a bunch of flower pots of peppers & onions in the back yard for his salsa experiments. This one did seem more interested in digging thru those than the local grays had been. What *I* discovered this weekend is that a Lootbox weekend doesn't help ME in the slightest. (0 x 2 still = 0)
My LOTRO main is horribly under geared, even tho he's is still just 70. During the past week I'd been abusing a bunch of lowbie areas catching up on some overdue Deeding, and had had two level 20 Lootboxes drop. Thinking that double chances for boxes is a good time to go tromp around some level 70+ areas for some gear...
The boxes were obviously dropping for some. The chats were full of people selling boxes.
Not. A. Box. Not one. Killed enough mobs to level to mid 72. Only fished once for about 5 minutes just cuz one does simply not visit the Great River Anduin without dropping a line. (while the Elves aren't looking
)
Finally late last night resorted to the AH and overpaid for some updated goodies. Heh.
Now time to go back to abusing the lowbie areas.
