Wow.
The old saying "be careful what ya wish for...". Yeah. I wished for a couple acres, and got em. Been trapped in the city for too long & forgot just how FAST weeds & brush grow.
Plus, I think I may have some Guiness Record level Poison Ivy vines growing up some of my trees. One tree, lower half is all P.I. greenery, and the base vine is almost 2" thick. Is crazy.

It had been a long time, but I had a yell-at-the-monitor rage quit yesterday.
Ran Fathom/Depths and got hit with the never-ending-damage tic bug just before getting the ooze killed. Wasted 2 Sib stones before I realized why I kept dying as soon as I rezzed. Even sitting there as a soul stone, my equipment kept popping up taking damage. (Was bludgeoning damage, at that.) Even had my mechno-pup carry my stone back to a rez shrine, kept rezzing and managed to chug enough pots to survive a shrining, which also didn't help. (After pup had finished killing the ooze.)
I'd heard the legends, but seeing it first-hand... I'm just glad it wasn't at the end of one of those multi-hour long quests.

Today was slightly amused. Logged in, and my char was in the tavern, dead. Timing was the thing. Tavern auto-rezzed me, then the game figured out that my gear was all destroyed and unequipped it - including my Con belt. I fall back over dead. Heh.
Somehow, I took no perm damage on my stuff.

Our D&D club had an epic session last night before summer break.
As I have told they are playing Princes of the Apocalypse. They had previously killed air prophet, and continued straight to air node and destroyed the air gate. For this night we had reserved 4 hour session instead our regular 2h, and the plan was to find and kill Miraj Vizann, mid level cult leader in earth temple, (that we had decided was a treacherous ex-lover of our half-elf sorcerer). With some quick talking and some fighting Miraj was found, suprised and quickly frozen to death by cone of cold from his previous lover.
What then happened took me by complete surprise. One player announced thet he wanted to go after Marlos, the earth cult prophet. They talked and paid their way through most enemies as written in the module, and had one fight before earth node room. Fight there was much tougher than anything they had had before, even though they had major tactical advantage for first two rounds (due to oversight in the module). Everyone (including me) was worried that it would be TPK. In the end the guy who had insisted in coming there had his character killed by Marlos, but he managed to distract Marlos long enough: Finally the sorcerer who had ran out of 3+ lvl spell slots turned his sorcery points into one last 3rd lvl spell slot, and blasted Marlos dead with fireball. Next round he destroyed the portal. And they got 28000 xp. Each.
We ended the game one hour late, and I had trouble sleeping last night, because it was so EPIC, and I am so going to miss my players all the summer. (One of them is actually going to Washington DC area for the summer for some training for future leaders.)Last edited by Drelak; 05-30-2018 at 02:50 AM.
