The cartoon series of Naruto has.. blood sucking forest leaches that fall on people pretty much to similar effect. You could probably use this to a similar effect or stats.

Meh. Want to really do a number on them? Normal army ants. They'll think they can take them, then realize they obviously can't. But will they learn it before it is too late?

    There are also these....

    Hmmm.... That's a neat option...
And I could get a fine tip permanent marker
And cover the whole thing with hexes.
It would take some time but when done it would be great.
And it would be much more stable too.

I hated the "It was all a dream" scenario. It didn't help that I wadded up my "squished into a goo, unrecoverably" character sheet. (I was young)

Kobolds, when managed properly by a DM are extremely dangerous. Remember, " kobolds are noted for their skill at building traps and preparing ambushes."

This means you get to plan elaborate traps and ambushes. And, of course, traps within traps and ambushes within ambushes. They are lawful so they work well together, unlike the Stormreach variety.

Swamps with giant man swallowing frogs. Also slimes that would be near invisable in the water.

Trash day. The bagworm ordeal has come to a close.

Was amusing last night as I left for w***. I had the bag sitting at the curb, and it had fallen over. One twig was sticking out and up - and a bunch of the worms had climbed that twig and reattached in a big clump. Had about a dozen of them all clinging to the top of a spindly twig.
Too dark for my phone to get a pic.

Almost sorry I won't be there to see them crawling out of the great compost heap, kinda like survivors crawling out of the debris of some random apocalyptic devastation.

    All great ideas....

You don't have to tell me about Kobolds.... *Glances a Mokat...

My brother in law... (Berrigon) was the DM who hosted
The game at an RPGA convention with "Tucker's 331/3rd Kobold division.
It was an exercise in promoting 'smarter' monsters over 'more monsters' to
Challenge your players and make the game more interesting...

I am well aware of what Kobolds are capable of, a fact I have used to good effect
On a number of occasions. that should be good to go for now since it is a relatively
Low level dungeon so I don't want to beat them up too much... Yet.

Thanks for all the great ideas all.

Thanks for all the great ideas all.
You could always have kobolds step up their game by playing on player fears.

    Setup idea.
    1. Were-Kobolds. Lets keep it semi smiple and not over powered. were-rat kobolds.
    2. They are under the command/control of a were-rat... goblin? Or something like that.
    3. Said leader has *never* informed the kobolds about biting to pass along infection.
    4. Said leader has a thing about "clean" teeth. So the kobolds don't bite either as they don't want their teeth, their shines hurt.
    5. Due to said dential mentality, Kobolds also have a semi fear of direct combat, let alone something like monks that like to "hit in the face" play on the trope of "not in the face."

Players however, will know instantly "were rat.... oh ****! DR silver!, infectious bites! don't get bit! don't get close!"

And you and work in a good lesson about dental hygiene.
