Something about it... sounds like it could fit into Rocky Horror Picture Show somewhere. I'm more a Rush, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin fan, at least if we're talking that particular style of music. I'm eclectic, I like a little of this and a little of that...

"Eclectic". Yeah, I can relate. When one's tastes run from Alan Jackson to Devo, with lots of side trips, that's one of the nicer ways of putting it.

So... Of all the things I *should/could* be doing - collecting coins in game, doing my LOTRO chores, PACKING - I'm wandering the back alleys & country roads of YouTube tonight. There's a specific other song I'm heading for, but one of those side trips I mentioned caught my eye.

If I hadn't just given you rep for finding that Gygax interview, I'd have to give you rep for the above^. I laughed so much it attracted the kids, they made me restart it. I doubt my daughter got it but my son got most of the terms and he was laughing too. Especially, the last line: turn, charge, smite! Now they are chasing each other around the house pointing glow sticks at each other yelling "smite!" and "magic missile!" and "pew pew pew". I'm not sure who is supposed to be the lich.

Ack! No lights! No loud noises either. *groan*

Our son managed to stay up for fireworks, our daughter only managed an extra half hour past her bedtime then she passed out. I should have gone to bed then too.

I used my winnings in PB's competition to get 3BC on sale for our daughter. She likes pirate stuff, so she should enjoy it.

Surfing some music on the net while sick I found this:

The song is just a clever marketing ploy, but Helloween is really touring with all their vocalists and almost all living band members. I thought I missed their gig in Finland, and was considering going to Hamburg Dec 22 2018, but luckily they seem to have annouced 2 more concerts in Finland coming summer.

They get to US in September.

Finished w*** early, loaded up some totes and headed for the new homestead about 4 AM. As I'm backed up to my garage, and moving totes around inside, the two Rottweilers from across the street popped their heads in the open door and started barking at me. I tried approaching the one I met on a previous trip so he could smell/remember me, but he was having none of that.

Good thing = good security for the homestead.
Bad thing = securing the homestead from us - especially if it escalates with my youngest.

Guess that explains the lack of any squirrels or other wildlife in the back wooded area.

Follow-up to the story.

Another trip around lunchtime - the two rotties came over as I got there, and were all friendly and snuggled up against my legs for back scratches.

Unloaded, relaxed on the deck for a bit, then as I was walking back to the car I heard a menacing *yapping* from behind me! I turned around to be confronted by the two large rotties and 1 CHIHUAHUA (with same coloration as the rotties). I started laughing so hard I scared the poor chihuahua away, but the rotties got parting back scratches. I couldn't get my phone out in time for a pic of them all all in the driveway together.

Yesterday (raining, sleeting, temps dropped to teens freezing everything solid) = take a day off from moving.

Today, tried to make a run after w*** about 4 AM, lock on storage unit frozen solid. Lighter wouldn't touch it. ...But I got a plan for that baconing lock here shortly. mm'hmm.

Wish Mama Nature would give me back some of those 40-50 degree days that were wasted while waiting for the financing & closing to wrap up.

I'd get some lukkosula from nearest market, but it appears there is no translation for that (anti-freeze for locks), so that might prove difficult. Hot air blower (or hair dryer) is much better idea than using hot water, as slower thawing causes less damage, and everything does not end up wet. Oiling the lock will help keep water away to prevent freezing in the future. (Sorry if all this is obvious to you.)
