Well, it WAS, kinduv... Got a call from the mortgage company we're working on pre-qual with and got our approval letter on the way.
Then into the evening of what is turning into the coldest night of the season so far, I realize the furnace has gone fubar. Just in time for the weekend.
...I usually enjoy roller-coasters.
So what is wrong with the furnace?
We have been enjoying the first snow for last couple of days even though now it is melting.
It is 3 degrees Celsius (above melting point) and it is gently raining.
From a local scifi con I bought Tales of Enthropy, new game also available from Drivethough RPG for 10€ as pdf. It is something completely different from any RPG I would normally play. It is GM-less and adventureless game, where players in co-operation make characters who are enemies and pit them against each other in pre-written setting to create drama and story. I had a chat of couple of hours with the author in a restaurant before actually reading the book.
*the mice scurry away from the slowly expanding temporal vortex forming in the air that looks rather unstable just before it collapses in on itself with a slight pop dumping a rather bedraggled old wizen character onto the ground with a sickening thud. Slowly the figure moves muttering several choice words followed by "typical that even a return spell gets f'd up ... just my luck" The figure is old, worn, rather gaunt and barely recognisable as it drags itself towards the bar. "Scotch bekki and leave the bottle".
Issiana has returned
*cue dramatic music!* Dun Dun Dun
how are we all?
Sorry i've been totally preoccupied with the excuse of a thing called life at the moment to keep up with other stuff. That horrid RL has been a real grind atm to the point i'm wasting away (am 6ft4 and now weigh under 79kgs and can't seem to stop the weight loss) I'm hoping my week in vegas might fix that as it's a total blokes week away. Nov 22nd is coming around pretty darn fast
Other stuff of news - My company is basically dead now due to Ex's antics. Shes still not agreeing to division of marital assets which has meant I no longer have directors funds to guarantee my trading accounts so have lost all my major trading accounts, which means I can't do any commercial work anymore hence the dead company. I've had to reduce numbers down to 3 but that will drop to 2 at the end of january. Not good when I was once a company of 14. It irks me majorly that my personal problems with my wife have now cost others their jobs/ livelihoods and she just refuses to accept that as fact.
The one nice thing that has occurred is that my Son asked to become my apprentice and learn the sparky/ refrigeration trades. Since the last several years have been very difficult relationship wise between us (suspect Ex had a lot to do with this) having him working with me has been one amazing blessing that has allowed a restoration in relationship - I'd happily lose everything I have to keep my family so this is one major happy thing for me.
Gaming front... well thats been a sad zip. I did look at ESO for a nostalgic visit and have made an appearance back in SWTOR but nothing significant as I just don't have the time to spend. I do miss the social aspect of DDO from all those years back and would love to get back to that again but not sure how that will occur at this stage.
Patience i guess... it will come in due time
Somedays your the Bug
Somedays your the Windscreen.
Okay, new take:
In my best encouraging teacher voice: "Look, You did almost everything correctly. You forgot just one small detail and that prevented You from reaching the desired outcome. That is one of the most common mistakes in this kind of problems. You will remember it next time, right?"
*Bekki pours you a drink...
*Leaves bottle...
“Uhhh... take it easy on that stuff... I’m... not exactly sure what time period or dimension
I got that stuff in, but is among the best in the tavern...”
Dang glad to see ya Issiana. We wuz getting a might concerned...
Now if we could only get Sebastian to stop buy...

*a dark shadow detaches from the rafters and falls with stunning speed and silence to the bar in front of the ragged figure. the shadow resolves into a slender humanoid figure as arms shoot out out to wrap around the old man's neck. a loud "mwah" is heard as the rogue plants a kiss on a wizened cheek*
Welcome back, Iss.
