A month is really short time for behavior to change. I predict lots of arguments in this relationship, as the man will need someone to put him in his place sooner or later. If she does not like that, I'd suggest time out, meeting perhaps twice a week on a date in a public place to see if he is any fun to hang out anymore.

One of my students in university complained to me about his boyfriend years ago. It was really nothing major, and they had been together for years. It was just that the man had no respect for her things and they had some failure to communicate, but she was losing her self-esteem and seriously depressed. Later I learned that she had married completely different guy. What you describe sounds far worse.

that's exactly what i was thinking, his behaviour changing that rapidly sounds bad.

thing is, our campus is small, so dorms are on the uni grounds itself, and right next to each other. they see each other every day.

personally, i think she's just latching onto him as well, as she was cheated on in her last relationship, and she claims to already be in love with him.


either way, i've told her as much. let's see what happens. i've also made her promise that if he does anything physical she will report it. she said she doesn't want to cause trouble or hurt anyone's feelings, to which i told her to forget about others, and to think of her own feelings. so i'll help her with it if needed, but yeah. (there isn't any immediate threat, but this guy used to do drugs, and i'm getting a pretty bad vibe. i'll keep a close eye on it.)

Always trust your instincts.

However, you've really given the only advice you can, and pretty much the best in such situations. The behavior exhibited early in a relationship is already gonna be the *better* behavior. As time passes, the behaviors will get worse as the manipulator tests and retests where the lines are at.

Yeah, I hear ya. I rummaged thru several mainline sites making sure it wasn't "fake news" myself.

The early days of MTV coincided with my first venturing away from home into the service, so most of those early vids showing on the dayroom TV or in the club stuck with me, Petty's among them.

Good morning all.

I finally broke down and got antibiotics... I hate going to the doctor. But I cannot argue about it when I struggle to breath. I already have asthma, I don't need phlegm filling up my bronchial tubes.

24hrs after and I'm already feeling much better. So yay!

Good evening everyone.

From playing DDO with my daughter this weekend I have learned something new. The fountains in Jorasco come in different temperatures. One is too cold, one is too hot, one is just a little chilly and one is just right. Just a PSA from the little girl that pretends very seriously. Also just to be clear while facing the fountains the "just right" fountain is on the lower right.
