Before I forget this morning's play with my daughter on her new dwarven fighter had her singing a nonsense song about House Kundarak being the dorfen house. Also lack of greenery in House Kundarak limits quality hide and go seek, just FYI. We finished Korthos and began harbor quests, with her confidently being the leader and telling me to hide behind door ways and in nooks and behind crates while she shrieked "Charge!" and cleaved bad guys. "HI-yah! Take that! Don't hit my mommy! That's what you get for being bad!" I think House Kundarak would be very upset to discover my halforc qstaff rogue is the mother of a dwarven fighter. ;P

She still runs from oozes saying "eww eww its touching me!" Which had me laughing so hard I was crying.

As upset as the local Dwarven community watching one of their own squeal in terror running from an ooze?

IDK, I think Kundarak might be more tolerant of a female finding oozes gross, no matter her class, than they would be of the possibility of orc genes mixing into their House bloodlines. I'm pretty certain some of them would be responding to that with "eww eww!"

nice ... and here i am about to get rid of my last wisdom tooth next tuesday and would prefer happy dental experiences to consider, lol.

Mind you I doubt anything will ever top the pain of having ones broken arm pulled down out of the shoulder socket then twisted and set back to where it should be. That... yeah that... nothing worked on that, morphine, nitrous, other stuff they gave me.. just nothing but pain. So maybe I guess dental will be a breeze next week hehe.

    Default My youngster...

So, I think I mentioned I grounded him. Until summer was over, taking away phone, computer and x-box.

I get an email from my cell provider indicating after hours traffic on his number

I look, yup, traffic on the number, when I know I've had the phone sitting on my desk in front of me.

I ask him about it and he denies any knowledge. Of course.

Thinking it thru, it hits me. His old phone.

He got his sim card from his new(er) phone and put it in his old phone and activated it.

Took THAT away from him too...

I'm not smirking behind my hand... really.

That's one of those things that years later makes a good story, even if it doesn't feel that way now.

Like the time our son asked mom how to spell her name. He was still in his single digits at the time. She spelled it out for him, feeling proud he was trying to learn... Til the call later that day from the school asking about a check he was trying to give them for extra lunch money.

Oh I will admit to a feeling of pride in him for figuring out how to get around me taking his physical device away from him. His disrespect for the restrictions is another thing...

And you are SERIOUSLY gonna have to keep an eye on that youngster! ;P

i'm with you on the pride feeling at getting outfoxed and totally agree with stomping on it to lol.
I used to leave the phones with my kids when we did tech groundings but tae either the sim or battery (or both) out. The other thing to do is put a physical switch on the incoming phone line and turn it off at times then when they complain, simply say the phone line must have a fault you'll have to wait for it to get fixed before the internet comes back. Technically your not lieing as the line is indeed broken, just by a switch hehe.
