There could be a lot of reasons why he/she doesn't want to go to school, including getting bullied. Sounds like time for a candid talk.

He won't talk to me, about anything pretty much.

which as a single dad is troubling.

I doubt it's bullying, he's never been afraid to stand up for himself when he was little, and at 14 he's nearly my size.

He did say something last week about maybe getting in trouble this week, but he wouldn't give me any details.

Morning all. Well, good afternoon anyways.

I played with my daughter some this morning. I've been playing with her sporadically over the past weeks but increasingly she's become more and more independent wanting to explore and do quests and wilderness zones by herself. I helped her create a new character recently, a dwarven fighter, and we began the Korthos storyline together but she keeps telling me to wait at the shrine or not to enter the quest, stay back, stay out, let her do it. Guess the gaming training wheels are coming off. She decided right away her dwarf lives at the Second Guantlet Goods in House Kundarak and the starter rags are her night gown. By the way she's picked up several emotes very well by now and knows how to dance, sit, sleep, bow, clap, and cheer without help.

Wait til she hits one of those monsters she doesn't like to fight though, that should be amusing.

Saw this rock out of place in my driveway. Picked it up to chuck it over into the gutter, but it was way too heavy for a little rock that size.

(Also featured is the huge rare earth magnet I finally got last Fall.)




It actually meets 3 characteristic tests of being a meteoric rock. My next test will be slicing a side off to get a look at the interior structure.

Had a decent night at w*** last night. Things went smoothly, didn't get rained on, all the drunks seemed to be waiting for the weekend, etc. Bought a couple scratcher tickets and won $50. Got home, was walking up the driveway and paused halfway to the house. Looked up at the giant oaks towering over the house thinking to myself how perfect the temperature was and how calm...

...then got splatted right in the forehead by a giant raindrop. >_< The showers from the Kansas side of town had followed me home.

slightly below the scale where you find out they not only skipped school but where also on drugs, getting drunk, hanging with boys "hint hint" and running away from home when confronted with it all.....
My heart goes out to you that you dont have all that I dealt with with my 15 year old. *hugs*

I've got one coming up next Tuesday. I broke a tooth on a Heath bar couple days ago.

Well... there wasn't enough Nitrous in the world for this visit today. Apparently the broke tooth had also cracked down the root and had abscessed. (They were amazed I hadn't had any pain with it.)

However, it turned into a root canal and future crown. A root canal on an abscessed root is an AMAZING experience, cuz the deadening doesn't affect the nerves like it should. Bestest Monday-after-Monday evah! (said no one ever.)
