Hi ho once more from down under...
And lately I'm feeling like something from "down under" the dirt aka an undead
Friday made me sit up an think a bit on work life balance when I had to turn my new friends invite down to go out and stay over because I had to work on getting an invoice done for work. The fact is I *had* to do this as i have no other time apart from the weekend to do it and it's taken me 12 hours to create (very complex industrial project that's a mix of base build and tenant fitout plus variations split between them all) due to the length this project has been going on. Not to mention that I totally needed the monies in fast and delaying just 1 day could be disastrous for me with my ex still dragging the chain.
So yeah... sit at home working on invoices of go out and live... I choose not to live so looking back on this something needs to change just I can't see what until the ex is firmly put out of play.
That aside... I hope my card made it in time CD, but if it took 2 weeks from finland it'll be interesting to see.
Bekki... Hugs. One of my workers is a tad ill, had an op and is now given the words of we'll delay any other treatment as we cant see anything after scans. So yeah stay positive as others have said. That may well be the secret to why I seem to not get sick - broken sure, but sick.. no. It takes a hell of a lot to put me down so yeah, positive wins
Ael, your stories make me wanna be back gaming so badly. I miss the drunken raid nights and the general tomfoolery I used to engage in on my cleric. Streaming kobald voices and parry grip songs (you must look them up, your daughter will love parry grip) over voice chat in middle of quests was awesome.
also P.s clerics can jump, and dodge, and do umd - Sunshine rocked a 40 jump, umd and balance score as a pure elven cleric back before TR's became the thing.
I do miss my little ray of sunshine, she was my most fun character ever. She'd be like taking an 90 year old down to the amusement park roller coasters now days though - totally useless and outdated hehe.

Thanks Issiana.
And thanks again everyone for the support.
Staying positive but still waiting on the results of the biopsy...
It's the waiting that's killing me...
Just to Ad to that fun the oldest decided to bump someone's car... Again.
There was no appreciable damage, but the dad for the girl is trying to hang the cost
Of fixing the whole bumper on him... Someone is subject to see "Angry Bekki"
And that's not a sight they want to see... I am keeping my cool for now and I told him,
To make sure to get the police report first before he agrees to anything. Since it supports that
He did no damage to the car, other than a few minor scratches... the are trying to have him get the
Car in for repair before the police report comes in... I told him wait for the report.
*Sigh...

Howdy everyone.
Haven't been playing as much as usual the last week or so. I did get in a few quests with my daughter although all she wanted to do was run Party Crashers and Big Top, repeatedly. I hear her shout "In the Face!" so much when she plays I've started saying it when I hit Lightning Bolt on my sorc. I'm not sure where she heard it but now when she gets surrounded she's started exclaiming "You can't beat me! Mwah ha ha ha ha!" along with "Now I've got you!" Her reading skills are almost nonexistent for words of more than three letters but thanks to emotes she has begun spelling words like cheer and sleep, and dance. Although, my son did this too and its weird explaining to other adults why they think a / goes in front of the word. This morning she slept in (she's growing) so I laid back down to nap until she woke up. Of course, she likes to wake me up by coming into the room and pouncing on the bed like Tigger, hopping about and happily shouting "wake up mommy, the sun's awake!" She then promptly opens the bathroom door which streams sunlight across the bed and consequently my face. I respond eloquently with something like "Argh! Light!" Today she followed this with the most interesting thing... she closed the bathroom door slowly and said "Then darkness fell across the land."
She apparently has an encyclopedia of one liners she has heard that her brain keeps on file for just the right occasion.
I'm glad the Adventures of a Little Girl cleric cheer you. I'm sure upper level clerics can get a decent jump/umd/etc. My main did okay at 20 and pretty well at cap. But my daughter's cleric is a halfling first life 28pt build cleric just recently at 10th level with very basic gear. I made certain all my kids' characters had heavy fort, underwater action, ff, Detect Secret Doors, and thieves skill equipment on appropriate characters from the original cannith crafting. Her jump is pretty poor but tolerable with her armor and shield unequipped. I try to restock her spell components and some potions (including jump potions) once a week or so. She only has 4 characters halfling cleric, human rog/bard, human paladin and a dragonborn sorc that will disappear when her VIP expires, so keeping up with her spell components and potions isn't too much effort. However, she has a potion drinking problem... that is if there is a potion in her inventory it must be drank somewhat randomly whenever she feels her character is thirsty.
I want to point out she chose to be a halfling on her first character because she wanted a character that looked like a little girl just like her. This exacerbates the jumping issue because her strength is sub par.
We rarely do a quest above normal difficulty and if so its for something like bank/inventory favor which I'm trying to slowly accumulate with her. Getting clobbered by champions isn't fun for a 4 1/2 yr old. Also recently, she's begun having the "BY MYSELF" issue. That is when you get to a miniboss or the red name at the end and the kids wants to slay the bad guy by his/herself. She threw a tantrum when a summoned earth elemental took out the main bad guy in the Last Stand (red fens) and she pouted over the weekend more than once when questing with her older brother and he didn't just stand back and let her face the bad guys by herself which would have been no fun for him. So she's had some time outs recently for being bossy and was even grounded from the computer for a couple days.

Have an Idea for the "Potion Drinking Problem" Hit the tavern prior to 'Adventure ' and buy a good amount of the restorative "Drinks" you can get there. Explain that those are for when her character gets "Thirsty". And the other "Special" Potions are only for special situations that way she can use those for when she needs them and the potions from the taverns , she can drink whenever she wants to and they have the added benefit of giving a few extra HP and spell Points here and there...
I will still buy a whole bank of them for some of my lower level characters
(even if only for RP purposes...)

It was a great idea Bek but after trying to implement it, I discovered the tavern food and drink won't allow you to consume it off the tavern premises. I knew it wouldn't restore hp/sp outside the tavern but I had no idea you couldn't use it at all outside the tavern. I will have to think of something else I suppose. If only there were some reliable way of getting Tasty Hams, I would just stock her up on those.

I scrounged around on all my characters and gave my daughter a stockpile of cupcakes. Unfortunately, they're not available all year round and she'll probably go through them pretty fast. We ran around the Red Fens wilderness some. She was excitedly thrashing sauhaugin and calling them "stinky fish faces". However, I've discovered another monster my daughter is unwilling to fight. Mudmen. She tells me to fight them for her because she doesn't want them getting her all dirty, throwing mud at her. She likes the lightning bugs and rainbows and waterfalls there but not so much oozes and mudmen.
We tried to do the Claw of Vulkoor, we actually got as far as the lava room but she missed a jump, fell in and didn't get out in time. I couldn't get her stone and my hireling didn't have raise. She got very upset.
After that she just wanted to play with her toys. I found her asleep in her blanket fort surrounded by her Little People when it was time to get her brother from the school bus.
So that was our gaming time today.

Cyclone Cook ain't listenin'. I think she's gonna be an equal-opportunity giver, running the full length of NZ.
Eldest's flight is supposed to take off today. Looks like that could be a little iffy.

I was gonna mention that first bit, but slacked yesterday...
Well, actually STOPPED slacking and got my overdue computer back-ups updated. Had a wake-up call when i got home yesterday and tried bringing my puter out of sleep and only got a flashing power light and blank screen. Luckily, a power cycle brought it around, and I then spent the next several hours making sure I had ALL my stuff copied, burned off, and backed up.
