    Default Too easy, I think...

Some recomendations from an old power gamer:

    increase difficulty without more mobs
couple more interesting mobs (similar in style to GOP lich avengers) would be a good addition
need something to hold the attention of the older players---ESPECIALLY since eVale is powercreep

    Thanks!

I think it is a little on the easy side so far too. I think more traps where traps are, a handful of more mobs, trash archons with a bit more hp (20%?)

Love the lore, the items, and the themes in the quests. Can't wait for round 2 and the raid.

I ran the 3 new quests at level 13 on a level 14 Warlock (GOO) that I leveled up and geared in the Dojo. Since I'm not VIP I had to run them first on Normal and then came back and ran them on Hard. I had a cleric hireling with me.

I am a solo casual player and definitely not a power gamer. But I agree that these quests might be too easy -- certainly on Normal they were a walk in the park on my Warlock. The hardest thing that I had to watch out for (and that killed me right off the bat because I wasn't ready) were those **** Shavarath whirling blades. On Hard, the monsters definitely hit harder and there were more of them, but the only time I came to any real harm was in the Trial of Endurance when a Champion Tiefling Adept one/two/three-shotted me. (I died another time in the tar at the optional end fight in Devil's Assault, because everything was so dark I couldn't see the edge of the bridge. Fix Mac lighting options, please!)

Perhaps this apparent ease was because I playing a Warlock -- I certainly learned the joys and effectiveness of Evard's Black Tentacles (what a spell!), that seemed to work on everything in there. But even the end fights (esp. on Normal) seemed kind of like, "Huh? That's it?" I am certainly not one of the many players who are constantly asking for more challenge -- I still get plenty of challenge from DDO -- but in this case some beefing up might be warranted. I'll try Elite next, and watch, it will probably tear me from limb to limb

Since this seems to be a thread for feedback, some other random thoughts:

In general, the quest design seemed good -- parts certainly did feel like a mini-Shavarath, although in browns and golds rather than grays and blacks. The design of the 3rd quest (not sure on name) was also a nice return to that Amrath feeling, although the clusters of hexagonal rooms got a bit old. I did like learning about Arritrekos' plans -- those bits of lore help flesh out the DDO world.

I was fearful going in to the Test of Agility, because I am not a Mario-jumper player at all. But it actually wasn't that bad (only fell once). No need to make this harder, hehe.

Is the solution to the Test of Intelligence going to be in the same place every time? It seems like it would be better if it could appear in random places. I don't know if that's possible, but once I figured it out (which admittedly did take a while the first time), then the next time there really was nothing to that Test at all except for all those conduit puzzles.

There is something wonky going on with the end fight of Devil's Assault. Both times I did the optional cave fight with the Marlith first, and then took the portal which appears after that fight. This seems to dump you out directly into the courtyard with the final boss who was already attacking me before I was even aware of it. Like I said above, though, this boss didn't seem all that tough (even on Hard) -- but after I killed it and went toward the chest, several more waves of flensers, etc appeared periodically -- I don't know if they were triggered by timing or by my going to a particular position. It just seemed weird -- like don't you dudes know that your boss just died? The oddest thing, though, was that both times, *after* I completed the quest by taking the McGuffin, I was immediately attacked by yet another wave of flensers etc., who appeared directly on top of me. On Hard they managed to instantly destroy me before I could even react. Yes, I had finished the quest so not a big deal but still -- weird.

Something similar happened with the end fight of the 3rd quest (again, not sure on the name) -- even after the Erinyes was killed, waves of abshai still came and attacked at random intervals. Not sure if these are scripting problems, or what.

He's talking about on his barb, and they are a joke on a melee or Shiradi caster. Probably a monkcher/thrower/mechanic as well.

Why would you want something like GOP liches?
They are the other version of let's just increase some numbers. This time not number of enemies, but stats. There has to be some difference between enemies, other than "kill this one first because it deals the most damage".

A good example would the shadar-kai assassins. If it didn't happen so frequently that they spin their chains non stop then I would really like them.
