It probably doesn't need to be mentioned but playing a mostly pure, unarmed monk (damage has not kept up too well across updates excluding use of Mortal Fear Thunderforged wraps) that relies heavily on stuns in the mid-high 70s (seeing how QP took a hard hit in past updates) is rather painful to play given the saves of these mobs.

Don't really have an great answer on how to keep challenge in but make DC reliant toons viable in this content, but I'm just wanting to report that it makes wanting to play an unarmed monk less appealing.

TOEE EE saves are fine by me. If you have 72+ necro, nothing much escapes you.

Maybe Ill stay as a Warlock through this pack though, before going back to Wizzie

Varg did drop saves in ToEE after much discussion.

The devs should not need such specific feedback this time, I hope. =)

I agree with this too. They should have taken that lesson from thee TOEE discussion and applied it here. But it seems they haven't/don't want to and know we are seeing people growing ever more tired of trying to argue the same points over and over.

Maybe it's a tactic to just get the dissenters to shut up. It worked for me.

That highly depends on the mob. One of the weird things in temple is the cr of the mobs ranged from like 57 - 83 ish. My 80 evocation doesn't even work on a lot of mobs. Same issue with a 75 enchant. Some mobs just save.... Once you get into the elemental areas everything has low saves, but in the earth temple and the pyramid area some mobs have insane saves.

Isn't the purpose of having difficulty levels to have the same quest be suitable to different player skill levels?

Powergamers can attack EE, while more casual players have the options of lower difficulty settings. So if powergamers are giving feedback of EE quests on lamy being too easy, are they not talking about the quests on the relevant difficulty for them?

It isn't like we are saying that the quests are too easy on EH or EN or, god forbid, EC. If you find the quests too hard on EE, then run EH. That is what it is there for. And if EH is too hard for you why not run EN? The devs have already agreed to make the game more casual by having the exact same gear drop on all difficulties, so you are not even being locked out of accessing anything(Which I think is good for the community because it allows EE to actually be HARD without excluding anybody from aspects of the game).

What option does a powergamer have if they find something to be way too easy? We can only tell the devs, as soon as we can, that the difficulty isn't difficult, and hope they fix it. There isn't an epic super-elite, and part of enjoying playing like a powergamer is building your toon up all the way, so gimping one of our toons to try to make the game harder is NOT a solution. Should our hard work at getting the past lives, the gear, the builds, the playing skills, that are top tier at this game be considered too much and instead all the favor should be in the direction people who are unwilling or unable to do such being able to run the most difficult things in the game? What is the point of having difficulty levels if that is what should be the case? Is this a Little League Baseball game where everyone gets a trophy, regardless of them doing anything more than attending the game?

I think it is important to respect the various players that we have in this game. Saying that YOU find EE difficult and the people who find it too easy are "powergamers" and thus you shouldn't take them seriously is disrespectful of the powergamers. It is just as out of line as a powergamer considering someone to be inferior because they are not one.

Different playstyles, different difficulties, find the fit for you and let the devs know how the fit fits. If a powergamer finds the highest level content on the highest level difficulty too easy something needs to be done about that.

Having said that, I find the quests to be too easy, and far far too simple. Killing groups of mobs to open gates, in three different non-exciting flavors, particularly with a tease in the first quest of it being like another Crucible(which is an awesome quest), was very very disappointing.

Necro, maybe. Evocation, not at all.

    My two cents.

I have run the first two quests so far. Props to the art team, I really liked the feeling of the quests.

To the quests itselves, I liked you listened to the feedback and added some puzzles at least but the first and second quests were nothing but a copy of existing quests. Haven't met any cool traps on my way either.

The Demon Assault was even more boring than the Devil Assault at level. I was praying for it to end.

The difficulty was underwhelming. On one hand I appreciate that the red names weren't any meat bags but on the other hand I wish it would be more difficult. And by that I mean, we would need to use our brain and any kind of skill to actually beat the boss instead of just come there beat the boss down and finish.

I am still waiting on the day when you will beat or at least top up the Storm Horns, Deathwyrm or Haunted Halls. Because so far, the only reason to run these quests is xp. Which is for nothing to me at the cap. Well, let's wait for the new raid.

The top difficulty should be designed for powergamers. This is the whole point of having different difficulty settings, so any type of player can have a setting that fits them. You can always go lower, but if the top setting is too easy for a segment of the playerbase they are out of luck. There's no point in making the top difficulty complete-able by most. That defeats the purpose of offering different levels of difficulties in the first place.

I've yet to run the new quests on EE (will do when Lam is back up) so I'm reserving judgement. I ran them on EN on my battle cleric just to have a look at the content and a miniboss in the 1st quest was hitting me for 20 damage per hit which even for EN is way too low. Even on EN this is level 30 content, it shouldn't feel like I was doing a heroic favor run. So let's just say I'm not optimistic that EE will be challenging enough based on how incredibly easy EN was and based on the feedback in this thread.

Now that it seems like a new reaper difficulty will be coming out soon, I don't care too much about EE difficulty. Mobs are about as good at killing things as the mobs in Mask of Deception. I suppose that's what level 30 content is supposed to feel like. The quest I played was basically fun and will be a fast run when it goes live. I don't think the fact that it's short makes it a bad quest. Although one person said it would have been nice if the quest were more like the crucible. I absolutely agree with that. I'm guessing they just don't have the resources to make quests like they used to. At any rate, so long as reaper difficulty is coming out, I'm happy to have EE be a leveling difficulty.

He's talking about on his barb, and they are a joke on a melee or Shiradi caster. Probably a monkcher/thrower/mechanic as well.

No, was playing warlock, since character copy wasn't working and the build from last lamma build was my only one. I was playing in EA, although DCs where pointless in any case. On barb it'd be even easier, that's for sure.

Why would you want something like GOP liches?
They are the other version of let's just increase some numbers. This time not number of enemies, but stats. There has to be some difference between enemies, other than "kill this one first because it deals the most damage".

A good example would the shadar-kai assassins. If it didn't happen so frequently that they spin their chains non stop then I would really like them.
