Almost a hundred person can nicely make in mabar public area with random monsters and no lag problem. What is it that causes the lag when the server has to make 16 player instance groups? Curiousity...got to love the world :-)

In the Mabar reboot (Mabar Mark II) while undead are nice, there is so much more to Halloween.

    Werewolves (as mentioned)

Hags, i.e. witches (From the Assault on Stormreach final boss fight- maybe special red names)

    Hellhounds?

    Bats?

There is more to Halloween than just undead...

It is by far the best event in ddo, and turbine decided to remove it because their developers cant fix it.

Let me add to the Mabar love! My fav event and I was very sad to see it go. I had only been playing a few months before it started and it was great fun and useful. For example, the slayer area taught me how to target sonic blast quickly to active mobs before they vanished. Also, it was the first time I really grouped with other players outside my friends. That was a blast, lag and all. Fighting the spectral dragon as a clueless newbie 4th lvl Wiz while in a PUG was great.

Anyway, very happy to read that something will happen this year and that the graveyard is back!

Lol, I love the idea of hags being involved, especially if we can incorporate flying brooms into the equation! The other stuff too, but the hag made me laugh. I can't help but visit the hag apothecary on the ship every so often just to have a listen. Hags were a great addition to the DDO fiend folio.

Default So we finally have a 'replacement' for Mabar...

But does it have the ambience of Mabar...the ambience of all hallows eve...pumpkins, witches, werewolves, vampires and blood red skies...if not I'll be more than disappointed because that's what Mabar offered the right setting, the right mood for the season...I hope these new portals take us to somewhere in the same kind of vein or how bad would that be...:O

Please can someone in the know...tell us if the mats from Mabar are going to be useful or not?

No, the Mabar mats have been deactivated. Check your bag in game.

I always found clowns scary. As an adult, knowing that clown performers in RL are usually depressed people, makes it more so.

note: it is not the depression that is scary, it is its masking with a clown face
