I looted a Leverage and am interested in building a mechanic. Any suggestions or other threads to point to would be greatly appreciated! Is this build strictly a kite and shoot build given the lack of self-healing?
Thanks all!

Gt xbow Mechanic builds don't differ meaningfully from repeater builds (presuming rog 18+ on both), since you want all the same stats, feats, etc. The only small tweak is taking Lacerating Shots; it's not a big DPS boost, but every bit helps and you usually have APs to burn in Mechanic.
If you want self-healing (other than pots), you can go halfling w/Dragonmark or Bladeforged w/Recon SLA. There's also sun elf's Rejuv of Dawn, but you can only use it twice per rest. In epics you can rely on the usual ED healing abilities (i.e., Rejuv Cocoon, Healing Spring, etc.).

Mechanics usually UMD scrolls for self healing, and there is also some healing in the capstone drink. Race will affect some of your AP expense, since Halfling has more Sneak Attack options and Human has HAmp. Also, it can be nice to spend 3 in Acrobat for the movement speed. A few points in Assassin is nice for Venomed Blades and Sneak Dice.

I am thinking about making a mechanic too. Here are my thoughts:
Gender: Female – very important as this will give you extra good looks.
Race: half elf.
Class: full rogue.
How to play this char.
Sneak and shoot. If there are too many enimies throw an Thunderstone or tanglefoot. Get you UMD as high as possible and use summon monster scrolls for the enimies to attack while you sneak. Use bluff and diplomacy to enable sneak attacks. Maybe even set up some traps every now and then so you can go back to them if there are too many mobs.
Non rogue feats:
Half elf delitante artificer, point blank shot, improved crit ranged, precise shot, improved precise shot, Precision, Rapid Reload, Rapid shot.
A variataion of this is to go 6 ranger 14 rogue. This would give you the sniper shot which can be handy, but I think full on rogue is better.
Currently running a 11/6/3 rouge ranger druid mix. I Picked up DWS, mechanic and enough natures warrior for fatal harrier, though i didn't have enough foresight to see if mechanical reloader stacks with fatal harrier, but it appears it does, at least for great bows. The sniper shot/killer from DWS mixed with fatal harrier and the usual mechanic goodies = lotsa shots. The one downside is I'm missing the 18 mechanic core which is a non-insignificant DPS hit but I've run enough pure mechanics. Another plus side is empire healing for cocoon, but again, fringe benefit
The mechanic tree is quite powerfull and mixes well with the harper tree. Human, drow, elf, halfing, bladeforged as pure builds or as level18/x splits are close together from what I can tell. Pick what you like to play. I have a pure drow (see my signature) and a human 18rogue/2arti mechanic atm. Both are fun and smooth to play.
