    Default Anyone alive?

I've roamed around the marketplace, and few of the houses. Looking for anyone actualy there, chatting. I see people passing by once in a while, but no one talks anymore.

I'm confused, isn't this an mmo? where's the social?

Either way, anyone with a decently active guild hiring? Returning player. On my first TR, doing a paladin, after finishing Artificier. Aiming for a Thorn Paladin type build, any input would be welcome.

This is an MMO that has a rather robust chat system. You can create custom chat channels, have guild, and party chats, and your party has voice chat. The custom channels are a pretty big factor as it allows social groups to have global access to like-minded players to chat about things like roleplaying, learning the game, or whatever you want. I do admit the advice and local chats are quieter than they have been in the past, but when I type into them, I almost always get a response... so while they are not really the method for socializing, they're not actually dead.

The question is, is that a bad thing? I've played quite a few different MMOs, and rare is the general chat that was something I would call "socializing". 99% of the time it's just buy/sell, ePeening, or just people cutting each other down. DDO I've been able to flip into local and advice channels and have had fun conversations as they're not cluttered with that junk.
