that's funny, I was doing some tests for an article I'm working on, and I never get less than two hits. How did you test?

Yeah I've tested this at least two times, both times it worked. It's possible that there's been a change, but I doubt it. Don't know why it shouldn't be working for you Doc. Can roll up an iconic to test sometime this weekend.

As mentioned, it's quite easy to test: take both deft strikes and +10% offhand from tempest, make sure you have no doublestrike, swing 100 times.

I'd love to see Monks get buffed but no need to go overboard.
Going from a long time earth stance monk to a swashie/rogue/fighter mix, the monk is way behind, even earth stance. Comparing with pure warlock 20, its still behind. Ditto vs pure barb.

When i tested (long time ago as well) the only part that worked was the offstrike.
Oh and about single target, i did consider growing storm as a bursty addition so i usually stop there.
For aoe, while the ki strikes might apply, i never saw a need to get dance, since balanced strikes and a whirlwind usually do the job, and when you combine that with mortal fear from what i saw from friend, there never is need for dance.
And he kept up with kills pretty good, counting that i was a pure barb /was mainly temple farm, where we duod or i soloed it, so the mortal/ballanced/ww combo works even in "endgame"

When I read about Balanced Attacks, I immediatly went to Twist it in and was a Little disappointed. I was running in Parties of 4-6 and it didn´t seem to be that effective coz the Mobs dropped dead quickly anyway to feel a "real" benefit from it. Do you really rank it that high, i´m torn back and forth to Twist it again.

For trash on monk builds i do.
But depends on content you run really, for example in horns/necro/temple its amazing.
In lower tier ee content like lets say motus and old epics not so much since damage in those is good on almost any build to kill fast enough.
The more hp your target has the more effective that combo is, mainly due to it really working on anything.
IT also offers nice no fail cc on orange named, you will most definitely proc ballanced with hwraps.
Beside broken wolf speed swf/fatal builds, monk keeps 2nd place on utilizing balanced the most.

I put this together a little while ago: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...ss-suggestions

Feel free to add to it - spent hours on that thing trying to think on how to "fix" Monk while keeping it's current flavor, and would love it to stay alive enough for the Devs to consider some of my proposals when they're ready to do the Monk pass.
Pinc Punch - Unarmed Monk (Uber Completionist) // Porc the Orc - Paladin // Thunderborn - Warlock // Imustbe Emo - PewPew Rogue // Aquamine Artifact - Crafting Artificer (shelved)

Monks are one of my fav classes both as a pure and a splash. They are just flat out fun to play.

A few things I would like to see is a change in the enhancement line to reduce the number of special strikes or consolidate them (especially in Shintao) - I love Fists of iron but never use the other elemental strikes. There are just too many to use them all and a lot of them are redundant. I usually add Harper or something else just to use enhancement points better.
I also almost always use Earth stance, especially in Heroics. Maybe buff the other stances slightly to make them more viable.

Also be nice to see a bit more variety in outfits and wraps - though I have a good collection.

There should be goodies for all stances and they should be selectable via multiselector like first of iron. And earth should not be offense and defense but just the latter.
