Help cant log in

Hello,

I just returned from vacation and I cant log into game. It freezes on a screen saying "Installing pre-reqs". There is no progress bar. Wont progress past this point. PC sat for 2 hours with this screen. Tried re-booting. Double and triple checked internet connections. Filled out a report bug form only to get a response saying that they will not help me. What do I do?

That is way too complicated for me. I turn on the computer and expect it to work. I turn the key in my car and expect it to work. After that... I don't know what to do.

Have you tried adjusting your proxy settings yet? This is usually the easiest way to get past being stuck on 'Installing Pre-reqs'.

On your launcher, click on that downward facing arrow in the top right corner. From here, click on 'Options' and then the 'Proxy' tab. Select the icon next to 'No Proxy' and then click 'OK' down at the bottom. The launcher should close itself out and reload. After you log in from here, you should get past the point you were stuck on.

If you still have an issue, toss in a ticket to our Tech Support team using the information in my signature and they can help you sort it out.

I tried that and it didn't work. Tech support sent me an email telling me to rename my userpreferences file to olduserpreferences. I did that. Now game sticks on "loading launcher configuration". I am beyond frustrated now. Dang tech support number is only available when people are at work or commuting home so no love there. maybe I should just go back to playing minesweeper!
