does spellcraft affect weapon proc damage ?

Heya,

I did a search for 30 min or so... and couldn't find anything to clarify my question on the forums or wiki, so thought I would just ask.
to be more specific does spell craft, and I guess I should add does spell power affect your weapon damage ?

1. your weapon does 2d6 acid damage per hit. spell craft ? spell power acid ?

2. metoric star ruby goes off for 3d6 damage. spell craft ? spell power fire ?

interesting question, and I believe the answer is no, spellpower/spellcraft doesn't affect damage from weapons.

i have just tested this with a fully crafted(melee options) ToEE acid weapon, took of all other gear did a few swings at the dummy, then equipped rock boots (90 acid spell power).
I saw no difference in damage output.

There are a grand total of two weapon procs that scale with spell power, both of them from enhancements. They are: Retribution from Enlightened Spirit and Resonant Weapons from Swashbuckler.

Four: Eldritch Strike and Eldritch Tempest from Eldritch Knight also scale with Spellpower.

Those are both active attacks with your weapon, not procs.
