Default Order of Syncletica: Not So Fortified

Two adventurers are walking down a beach. The sand under their feet glistens as foamy water rises from each step.

To their right, the low setting sun casts a golden hue on the silver armor of one of the adventurers, a human, carrying her axe atop her shoulder, while accentuating the green eyes of the elf, wearing monastic clothing, her longbow strapped to her back.

They walked in silence for a time before the human asked the elf, "Have you ever had that...not-so-fortified feeling down there?"

The elf was silent before replying, "Yes, I have. It's a common problem. That's why I wear this," pointing to a necklace, its dull-gray adamantine hue offset with a yellow gem in its center. "But you may be able to feel more fortified with more...natural techniques."

Suddenly a large sea dragon leapt from the sea, swallowing the plate-wearer in one gulp while the Monk leaped quickly to safety.

    The End.

    Default Performance Problems?

Four adventurers: one Fighter, one Monk, one Wizard, and one Rogue, battle a half-dozen Droaam orcs.

The Monk slides over to guard the Wizard, a lovely female Elf, from being hammered by a ogre Vanguard as the Rogue moves behind the Vanguard, slicing most of it's hit points away with a brutal sneak attack. Ignoring the Vanguard's countering hit, the Monk made a stunning attack, spinning his body about to avoid damage. The Rogue seized the opportunity, assassinating the Vanguard.

The Fighter screams out, "I'm not making it over here!" as half of his hit points disappear from three ordinary orcs cleaving and cutting with their swords. The female Elf stifled a giggle before she cast a Hold spell on one of the orcs.

The team regroups, finishes off the remaining orcs and soon stops by a shrine to rest. The Fighter seems particularly flustered and embarrassed, sitting a little away from the rest of the party. The Monk, preferring not to use the rest shrine, stood closest to the Fighter.

"Say," the Fighter half-whispers to the Monk, "How are you so full of energy and able to perform as well as you do?"

The Monk studies his party member before saying, "I noticed that you had problems keeping up."

"That Wizard girl laughed at me. I need to show her and the party that I can deliver," the Fighter said.

"Perhaps you need something else," the Monk said, reaching into a pouch on his belt, pulling out a small blue object.

"You have low HP. One out of five adventurers experience this problem. It's nothing to be embarrassed about," handing the blue object to the fighter.

"A pill?" the Fighter said mockingly.

"A gem. Just place it on your gear whereever it fits. It works for me," the Monk answered. "Studies say that Vitality(tm) boosts your stamina by at least 20 points, if not more. You'll last longer...and that may impress that Wizard over there when you come to her aid."

The Fighter nodded and smiled. "I'll give this a try!"

DISCLAIMER: Vitality(tm) is not for everyone with performance problems. You should not take Vitality(tm) if you are using other related items as these effects do not work in combination. Do not use Vitality(tm) as a sole substitute for other hit-point improvements. Use of Vitality(tm) without magical protections may lead to sudden death. Side effects from Vitality(tm) are few but a few cases of Elitist Dysfunction were reported, which may increase your cockiness to fight without a party, increasing social anxiety to yourself and others, and increasing your risk for death and ridicule by others, which may increase your chances of mild to severe depression and deserved shaming by others.

Ask your Class Trainer if Vitality(tm) is right for you.
