I usually carry an exorbitant amount of tools on me.
That being said, the mechanical traps components I have scavenged - I throw onto the AH for really cheap prices (I see people wanting 19k for 1k of trap parts).. and if someone can profit from that, then fair play. I normally sell them for 500pp for 1k when I have accumulated about 20k of trap parts.

the way to fix this is obvious...everyone put their tools up for less and let the dudes selling them for more buy them all up out of frustration. People will buy things thinking they will get more and more from them...just show them all how easily acquired they can be.
