It is with great sadness that we announce that long time Light Horseman Arue passed away yesterday morning. He suffered a heart attack during dialysis - it was quick and painless.
Many will recall that fateful day when Arue was tanking the Stormreaver and was called into work. Being a Firefighter, this was not the first time that he had had to run from gaming; unfortunately, unlike the previous times he did not return quickly.
Suffering a severe injury during the fire that resulted in the loss of his foot, his fight for life was just beginning. Complications lead to the failure of his kidneys and development of diabetes.
While his eventual return was greeted warmly, it was clear that his injuries would forever affect his playing ability. Despite these hardships Arue remained ever cheerful and willing to help as best he could. Most recently he could be found playing his WF melee/wizard Rebuilt, providing DPS, buffs and trap skills to any party that needed them. Gaming brought him great joy and nothing made him happier than sharing gaming with his friends.
I spoke with Arue about 10 days before his passing, during what would turn out to be his last play session. His spirits were high and he was enjoying checking out the new content. His new Mac ran the game well, although he was having trouble with VoIP clients.
Bruce will be deeply missed. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations to your favourite charity be made in Bruce's name.
