The Cleric Who Follows No Deity

So today I found a Level 4 Cleric on a server I never visit. I guess I made her for a favor run, but got bored before too long and forgot about her. I was talking about her with my newfound guildies tonight, and they insist that she has to have a 'Follower of' feat. The thing is, she has no such feat, and so follows no faith.

It seems like this is a bug, but maybe I'm missing something. What do I lose out on by not having a faith to follow?

The short :
It is not a bug, but it's not WAI either....

The long :
Initially Clerics didn't have any Follower of Feat.
These two ( or was it 3 ) feats appeared in a module, long after the initial release of the game. IIRC It was when Menechtarun was introduced...
But they weren't mandatory, and on a Feat Starved Class like a Cleric, nobody was picking them, unless they wanted to play a flavor build.
Then came MoTU and the Enhancement Crash where they made it mandatory to choose a faith at character creation when creating a cleric.
But if your cleric was created before that he still didn't have any faith. ( at least until you LR/GR/TRd him/her )

The initial feat is mainly a +1 To hit bonus with a weapon type and the ability to use that weapon type.

I guess I'll just LR and see if that solves the issue. I want to redo her other feats anyway.

Yep, it's because the character was created before the faith feats were implemented. The LR should fix it, but if the character is only level 4 and first life I'd just delete and reroll unless you have a BtC heart. Save your money.

LR did fix this for me when I had this issue. Yeah the devs should have done something so reincarnation wasn't required to get it. I suppose they either couldn't because of coding limitations or maybe it was too time intensive to get done.

It's a bonus feat that gives you proficiency with the god's favoured weapon and +1 to hit. In addition, you also get a bonus feat at level 6 with a more special ability. LR solves it.
