Default Gingerspyce's Week in Videos: Wolf Armor, Permadeath and Taking out the Trash in MOD

    Hey e1!

This May marked the 1-year anniversary of the first quest video I posted. It got a lot of positive feedback so I made a few more videos, and it all grew from there! Today my little DDO Youtube Channel features over 170 videos that range from quest tutorials and teaching raids to crafting and my niche druid build guides. Thank you e1 for watching and subscribing, it is so cool to hear from you... whether it's your thoughts about the videos or suggestions, but what I think has been most amazing is to hear how helpful these videos have been to so many people out there that are still learning the game.

    Level 20 Wolf Armor
I did a quick video to go over some Level 20 wolf armor options, from a lower-end craftable option, to a high-end, high PRR option. I even recently made a suit of Epic Stinkpelt's Hide, which is much better than I realized! Check it all out at A Look at Level 20 Wolf Armor Options.

    PERMADEATHFIGHTCLUB
Normally we don't talk about PERMADEATHFIGHTCLUB, but in High Lords of Malkier on Sarlona we occasionally do guild permadeath events which we call PERMADEATHFIGHTCLUB (the caps are very important, but I can't say why). Our PDFC events are always 'last person standing' themed and we recently did our 9th installment of the event in which we took level 7 veteran toons, using only what we start with and find, into heroic elite Temple of Elemental Evil. We start with a couple warmup quests to get a bit of plat for supplies before we delve into the temple. This is the first time we've ever done a video of one of these events. See which one of us wins at PERMADEATHFIGHTCLUB Round 9: Temple of Elemental Evil!!

    Dealing with MOD Trash
The Mark of Death raid is largely about trash mitigation. As a guild we've worked through a few ways of dealing with all those nasty mobs. In the beginning we were stoning the beholders using the pots from last year's birthday event. That evolved into using our wizards to charm everything (except for the quells, which cannot be charmed) and we'd have one person dedicated to the quells. A couple months ago we changed up to using a 4-person trash team to swarm the trash as soon as it spawned and we've been really happy with this method, not only because it's very effective, but because it doesn't require any cajoling of our guildies to switch to their charmers. See how it works below!

    From the Archive
I've always liked the Subterrane. It's a mysterious place with lots of interesting features and nasty creatures around every corner. I remember when I was a noob wanting to get in there as soon as I was high enough level to check it out. When I finally was able to enter it, I dropped down and saw a Living Chain Lightning. It was a little hovering ball of sparkling light. That's kinda cute, I thought. A second later I was dead and I told myself I better wait a few more levels before coming in here again! One of the coolest rares in the game is Garamol, the Giant Chieftain skeleton who resides in a deep pit of traps and magic, in a secret location. The way to find him changes with each instance but he is always there. Many people don't realize that there is a way you can tell how to find him each instance, by reading the runes that are floating in the Subterrane. Garamol's chests contains quite a few really awesome unique items like the Icy Raiment, which Garamol is most famous for, but also many other items like Tira's Splendor, and Luck Blade (the only heroic weapon in the game with 3 slots!) and the drop rate for at least one of his named items to appear is pretty good. Last year I made a video that explains how to find Garamol as well as tips for navigating the Subterrane. Learn how to find Garamol for yourself in How to find Garamol in the Subterrane and get your Icy Raiment.

    Thanks for watching!

    Much Love,
    Gingerspyce of Sarlona
