Default June 1: Want to learn 3 raid; LF generous guides and tutors

    Hi Thelonians!

I've got some free time tomorrow (Sunday, June 1) and would love to try some raids. Despite playing off and on since 2006, I've only ever seen Chronoscope, and though it's very cool I've never finished it, nor have I been in the door of any other raid in the game. My highest-level dude is a Level 16 Sorcerer, who can do (ie flagged for if necessary) Chronoscope, Tempest Spine, Vault of Night, Twilight Forge and Zawabi's Revenge. I don't mind doing them over-level; I just want to cross them off my bucket list.

I'm not a terribly good DDO player and I'm certain my character and his gear aren't close to optimized. Nevertheless, I'd love for some generous folks to help me see this content!

    Any takers?

I'm not sure if anyone's contacted you privately to help. If not, here are my thoughts.

For the raids with epic versions, your best bet is probably to just level into epics. Epic VoN is run very often, Chrono maybe slightly less so, and DQ sometimes (though it is not difficult to put together a PUG for it). Just make sure you bring some self-healing, you're not running ahead of the pack, or touching anything, and you should be good to join any sub-EE Chrono/VoN. If, as you say, you just want to cross them off your bucket list, Chrono is eminently completable on your level 16 (so long as you can heal yourself), even if just on heroic normal. DQ may be a little more difficult as the boss does hit hard, but it is definitely doable on normal.

Tempest's Spine is theoretically simple on normal (again, so long as you can heal yourself). The only issue is that the map for TS is absolutely horrid and will not help you at all. Your best bet would be to park an alt at level 12ish and watch the LFM board for a TS group that hasn't started yet, join, and follow someone who looks like they know what they're doing.

If you're trying to learn the raids, VoN and Titan will be difficult to learn over a single session, due to the requirement to split the party in the raids.

Twilight Forge isn't run very often. I'm one of the few who will lead public groups for it, but my TR won't be in a position to run it for one or two more weeks.

Finally, if you don't know the raids, an excellent first resource is the DDO wiki. Additionally, you can look up videos on YouTube.

    Good luck.

Thanks, I'm going to go ahead and level up as you suggest, keeping dudes around 8 and 12, and look for LFMs for stuff I want to do with them.

    Appreciate the feedback very much.
