I'm not sure how to include pictures in a post but I think DDO could take a page out of some other games design/art books with regards to cosmetics/ armor ect. Elder Scrolls armors, Dragon Age armors, Age of Conan Armors. Might also look at D&D's competitor Pathfinder source books art. Maybe look at some classic fantasy films like Conan the Barbarian ect. On a special note, i think the helm that the Kurgan wore in the movie Highlander is pretty neat. Kind of a animal skull with the jaw bone and teeth under the chin.

I'm going to echo some of what has been said, and disagree with some other things.
- The giant pauldrons REALLY need to be toned down. A lot. Don't remove them entirely, but if they're 10-15% of the current size that'd still be plenty. Bonus points if they look sensible.
- We need more colours in armours.
- Skulls and spikes are fitting for some armours, but most armours should not feature them.
- Same thing for faces. If we loot some armor with a flavour text that denotes it as being ceremonial or an heirloom or something, fine, I don't mind a scary demonface. I do mind faces on my newly crafted dragonscale armour, however,
- Some asymmetry is fine and can look very good, but also offer some symmetrical options for the people who prefer that.
- Give us equal opportunity fanservice! I don't at all mind some naked skin, but the current situation is extremely onesided, we need more beefcake. Outfits that bare the midriffs of males, barely functional small vests, entirely topless (add a scarf for female characters as necessary). Contrary to some other posters, a bared midriff in DDO does not mean "death after one slash" to me, but instead says "So what if I wear a skirt made of cabbage leafs? I can turn into a being of pure flame at will and command the elements to strike down my enemies, what can YOU do?"
- A trenchcoaty robe or three would be lovely as well.
I love the docent of defiance look. The runes and the gladiator-style armor on the shield arm is just neat.
What I'd really like is a fleshy-version with a bulky breastplate as well and some heavy greaves for a heavy armor wearing character.

Dragon wings. Thankyou.
I want the old MotU Cosmetics back and updated to be BTA and equippable. Most of my chars are Drow and those armors fit their flavor.

1. tourney plate model, maybe a bit reworked with some utility adventurer belt on it instead of those armor plates on the belt area, reskinned into few diffrent variants and colors.
2. wizard hat, in few diffrent colors.
3. few more outfit look variants, plain clothing, wizard robes that dont look like dress, more like the wizard look from dnd demon stone game,
this :
4. a variants of PDK and sunelf armors that would fit all other races, in few diffrent variants.
5. new crafting device that would allow us to create the armor by combining the elements available already in game, i know its probably not possible but it would be a nice thing if we could just craft a look we like from everything availabe, and then choose color and theme.

I would play with the colors of the Spiritcraft/Celestial Leather armor. These are my favourite looking armor in the game. I only wish I had more options than brown. I like the look so much, I used a mirror of glamouring for one of my characters. I would like to see a black leather version and a while(ish) leather version at a minimum and other color options as well.
Not so much "new" as the ability to remove the extra decorations on existing stuff. Particularly pauldron. The pauldrons look really stupidly huge on halflings.
To a lesser extent the decorations on robes as well. Many of the robes have books. This makes sense for wizards but not for sorcerers.
Personally, I would never buy this but I want a docent for warforged that modifies the rest animation such that the warforged sits down, a door opens in the chest and a halfling climbs out and sits up against the inactive warforged.
I still say that warforged are really halfling mecha. It's a well kept secret between house C and the halflings so nobody believes me.

Ya know, I would like to finally see cloaks rendered. A ton of great pictures here with cloaks and capes, and we don't have them. I see cloth animations all over, just assign some of that shader to the players cloak slot please.

My observation is there are a good number of nice looking plates and some decent robes/PJs.
Where I struggle to find stylish, correct colored, nice cosmetic armors or nice looking lootgens is in the Leather and Chain arena.

Check out these medieval helmets, some of them are incredible.

In my opinion The Witcher series has some of the best looking armor in video games. I would love to see more practical armors like these in DDO. Give us armors with belts, straps, pouches, bags, and backpacks. I want my adventurer to look like they're carrying all their gear with them.
Also steampunk. Eberron has always had a bit of a steampunk feel to it with stuff like airships and the lightning rail. I'd love to see more steampunk inspired gear and cosmetics.

I would like a collection of proper wizard hats, the thing that really stops me from playing a wizard these days is the lack of proper wizard hats, how am I supposed to blow ship shaped smoke rings and set off fireworks without a proper wizard hat?!! As far as I am aware there is only one Wizard hat in the game and that is a shameful under representation of appropriate wizarding attire. If you're having trouble with good ideas for wizard hats look into Merlin, Gandalf and Dumbledore, (we already have elminsters hat but its decidedly shabby) I want some nice tall ones with stars on, preferably with an animated star option, because wizards can do that stuff.
While we're on the topic of wizarding attire robes of the twelve would be fun.
I would also like a Robin Hood style cap, maybe when the AA enhancement pass comes out?
Animal costumes would be amusing as well, I would like to dress up as a bear without being a druid, Gorrilla suits would also be a good addittion to the game.
Please for the love of god armour and helmets that look like actual armor and helmets, there are very few helmets in this game that look like practical head protection. The pouldrons you've been putting on armour pretty much since heavy dragonscale are excessive and impractical, give us nice minimalist pouldrons, The medium dragon scale has much nicer proportions and actually looks practical.
Also Capes.
P.S. Where are the capes?
P.P.S. This game has been out for almost 10 years where are the capes?
P.P.P.S. I don't know if you picked up on it the first three times but this game really needs capes so do that please, thanks guys!

1- I really would like to be able to change the color of this Cormyrian Green Dragonplate Armor.
I would like to have this armor in Gold color ---> the same gold effect as armors in saint seya if possible <3 ---> Gold, just gold everywhere on all armor pieces, just gold ^^ ---> ( there is already the "Yellow Whorl Heavy Armor with Warden Plate" but it is just yellow, it s not the gold armor I am looking for and the drawing on the armor are not the same as the Cormyrian Green Dragonplate Armor )
2- You really need to add some more Glamered Weapon Aura, based on 2 options
- The effect of the aura ---> Lightning, flames, wave, glowing aura ....
- The Color ---> Need some Deep Colors ( Red , Purple, Green, Blue ... )
Like this for example I could have a weapon with Red lightning on it
3- Need Glamered ARMOR Aura !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ---> Based on 2 options
- The effect of the aura ---> Lightning, flames, wave, glowing aura, smoke ....
- The Color ---> Red , Purple, Green, Blue... and more !!!
Like this for example, I could have Any armor with the visual effect of the "fire shield" spell ---> I would buy it for 2000 TP for sure !!!
4- And please, add a preview option on Glamered Aura (effects and colors ^^ ) !!!!

Ghallanda : Abramax Emerald Archer - Heroic Completionist - Racial Completionist - Epic Completionist
I would like to see my quiver on my back or on my belt or maybe on my leg.
And I would like to have many different cosmetic for my quiver
Ghallanda : Abramax Emerald Archer - Heroic Completionist - Racial Completionist - Epic Completionist
Having different pieces of armor and each with her look would be great. (Gloves, boots, wraist, etc...)
The option to dye like the hair, your own armor.. (special dyes trophies for Mysterious remmants.. etc...)
And since they are of a piece they could be more elaborate and in depth, some are really really simple and you have to pay for them TP.
