    Default Update 26 on Lammania

    Can we get update 26 on Lammania now? I understand the warlock class is still in the beta phase, but I assume epic amarath is not, and it still needs to be bug tested.


    I do not think you should release both the warlock and epic amarath at the same time on lammania, as they require a separate focus when testing for bugs, and both together will probably put to much focus on the warlock and not on the new content.


    Lets check out epic amarath now for bugs or issues, and you can add the warlock to lammania in a week or two when you are done with it.

    I am assuming they want to test warlock first. Because that is a big part of this update, it would seem logical that they would spend extensive amounts of time testing closed/internal beta. It is standard marketing to tease stuff before it is released, to build hype. So it may be this week, but it could vary well be 3 weeks before the server is up. It all depends on the marketing team and if the coding is "good enough" (Quality Control standards) to be released into a public beta. Just look back at the first major expansion, closed beta (pre-purchase) -> open beta. In the case of now it is internal testing -> players council (closed beta) -> open beta. (as far as i am aware)

    first build of U26 is slated for later this week (*knocking on wood* (which means if all goes well, and the GODS permit))

    Warlock is (again *knocking on wood* (which means if all goes well, and the GODS permit)) slated to be included in this build.

    In fact - since it looks like there is time for several Lamannia builds (normal cycle unlike limited pressed for time like U25) it is entirely possible that Warlock and its tree's might be the only thing new on lamannia this initial build of U26.

    Other trees (enhancement pass) should show up in a week or two.

    Don't worry, in one of the other threads, one of the devs said that they're planning to start testing the warlock, along with E!Amarath I presume, this week.

    E!Amarath was pushed back to U27. This update'll only have the Warlock. And the most recent word from devs is they're still planning on starting testing this month. So it'll be sometime this week I presume.

    You know what would be AWESOME?

    If the patch interface for the Lammania client didn't keep failing EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY TO LOG IN!

    THAT would be awesome!

    However, we are now on DAY 3 of this! ANY ETA as to a fix??????

    Default Using an old lam build

    Using a 2013 lam build stored on a external hard drive.
    I transferred it to this computer, it updated it is still closed that may be why you get the error.

    since you don't understand how lammania works. let me explain it to you. there is no eta on a fix because there is nothing wrong. if you read the posts of how the server works you will find out lammania only stays open during certain time periods. the rest of the time its closed. its only open to preview whatever update is up at the time.

    3 days till the end of the month. Sure would be nice to be able to preview the new content before the content rolls out full of bugs, a la every other single time new content comes out.

    During the livestream Cordovan said the current hope / plan is to have initial build to Lamannia this coming week. *knocking on wood*

    Please get mushrooms for the toee crafting in a cabinet. This way some tweaking feedback can come in about the options.

    Would it also be possible to make the cabinets unlimited? As in to use more than once then have to reset the instance of the dojo? It would be fantastic because I test multiple builds and being able to make multiple TF weapons and armors would make things a lot easier.

    That is a design limit. Making those cabinets multi use would require something like the loot room has where the cabinets are spawned via a lever. The mechanics for them is game level. Changing that would be a special dojo thing, and then it has a chance to cause bugs with the live game code.

    It is possible for us to do that, but it would take away from other development work. We're more likely to create these ingredients during dev events. In general, though, I'm not sure that Thunderforged will be a requirement to check out the Warlock.

    One of the cabinets is already multi-use, I think it is the level 28 one but could be the level 25 so it doesn't need a lever to reset it.

    Valid reasons, But what if we can't make the dev events? I'm usually at work when the dev events happen, and if I find a dev that's on after they just tell me to use the cabinet. I was just wondering for those of us that can't make the dev events.
