Consumer 101 - if we are unsure if it will work under X condition which will happen later, ask before buying.

Where is the bad intent? Releasing another class into the game (which is what the poster stated) is not bad intent. Are you assuming something which is not posted there?

Inaccurate.

See the MotU release notes, Update 14. Druids could not utilize vet status, LR+1/+3/+5, or the Stone of Experience (at the time Otto's boxes were not released) at the time of implementation.

Additionally, you could not Iconic a Druid because Iconic races were released in the Shadowfell expansion, Update 19 (as opposed to Druids being released in Update 14).

One thing to bear in mind is that these restrictions typically last only a few weeks. For Druid (released with MOTU on June 25th 2012), it was permitted a couple of days after the release of Update 14 patch 1, on July 13th 2012, i.e less than 3 weeks.

For artificers it was precisely a month (though +1-+5 hearts didn't work on Artis for a bit longer for some odd reason).

We currently have no interest in putting restrictions on the Warlock in regard to reincarnation, but we would consider the community's preference if people felt strongly that there should be restrictions on the class for a period of time after it debuts.

You claimed accusation of bad intent. There is no bad intent accused. There is clarification requested. Now that the clarification is provided, it invalidates accusations which could be made based on assumptions due to lack of information.

Seconded. I'll probably level a pure just to see what it's like, and how it fits in with my crazy other ideas. If somebody wants to +20 and TR back to completionist, how would that possibly affect me? No restrictions please.

Honestly...I'd like to just to +20 LR into to it to keep my completetionist PM and then use another toon to actually try the class out.

So I'm all for...no restrictions for LRs, Vets and etc.

The only thing is people will just use +20's on epic characters for the sole purpose of getting their Warlock past life for completionist without ever actually playing the class. Then instantly TR back into something else after they use the +20. But then again, restricting means people can't use +20s to legitimately LR their epic characters into Warlocks should they so choose. And there's probably a lot of players who want to play a Warlock in epics without having to level it.

But since Turbine has always allowed people to essentially use +20s to get a past life in a class they don't want to play in the past without actually playing it I suppose there's no basis for restricting it now. That ship has already sailed. So for that reason I'd have to say no restrictions.
