    Default +20 hearts

Can we get a statement on these will work to switch to the warlock class or not? Otherwise people might feel it is a bait and switch.

How would that be a "bait and switch" scenario? "Hi, we're introducing a new class, but the only way you can get it is to use a +20 heart"? So it won't be available to roll up from scratch or either Vet Status?

No people will be thinking they can switch to a level 20 right away and may not be able to and in the past vet status and hearts didn't work on the new classes

It's too early for that. They still have to put otto boxes and epic otto boxes on sale, then preview warlock on lamma. Then put otto boxes and +20 hears on sale at 20% off. THEN announce that they can't be used with warlocks.

So where are they implying that you can, or can't switch to them where you'd be baited into thinking you can when you can't? In fact, is there any concrete evidence about it at all, other than it may be coming soonTM?

I am trying to,protect some people who may assume they will work when in fact they may not. Me I,don't care.

It seems to me that they were pretty clear about Iconics when they were first released what you could and couldn't do with them, and the people that wouldn't be informed would be the people that didn't read the updates or come to the forums. Since those people wouldn't come to the forums to read this thread, if they're not coming now, why would they, how's it going to benefit them?

In the past we didnt have +20 hearts when they introduced new classes.
It should work correctly, as some people bought back in the day a bunch of +1 hearts and got artie plife day 1.

Is this one of those so called language barriers?
It's pretty simple if you buy one of the +20 hearts will you be able to switch let's say your 20th level fighter to a level 20 warlock on the day they are released or will they be locked out from that and vet status like classes were in the past.

Worst idea I've heard in a long time if they do allow this. I don't believe that anyone is sitting there would be unable to cope with the loss of their completionist feat and so concerned that they are anxious to use a +20 heart just to get it back. So what other reason would there be to try and insta-cap a Warlock?

Previously with Artificer and Druid you could not LR in levels. I would assume they apply the same logic to Warlock. They definitely should.

iirc, you couldn't use vet status or lesser hearts on arties when they came out.

Why would anyone think it is a bait and switch though? Is Warlock coming out next week?

It will not work when warlock comes out based on prior precedent, but I agree Turbine should specifically state that since it's fairly close to the release of warlock. It's no different than the button of winning. They don't object if they get a few sales from people that don't have a clue what is going on.

****, I might have jumped the gun. I snatched one up...fell prey to the, "Only this weekend" pitch, and the idea of actually playing my favorite 4e class. Ah, I fee like a chump. Dang impulse shopping!
