Default To Pure, or not to Pure Warlock? That is the question.

First off, I must say that most if not all of the thoughts and comments I've seen on the Warlock so far is pretty good. And with Warlock going up for testing during, according to Cordovan, "the middle-ish of this month" (assuming sometime this week) we'll finally be able to get a taste of what DDO is packing for it.

Which brings up the whole point of me making this post: To Pure, or not to Pure Warlock? More specifically, what kind of unique features will the Warlock have to encourage keeping a Warlock pure, and what kinds of synergies will it have with other classes that will encourage multiclassing?

If there is not an option in one of the Warlock trees called "Tiger Blood", then the Devs have failed us. There is simply no other way to look at it.

Judging recent trends the best warlock builds will be 18-20 levels of warlock or if they have some decent low hanging fruit they'll be good for a 1-2 level splash class.

The unique features to keep you pure? Capstone, level 18 cores and possibly the fact that you'll be spending 95% of your AP in 2-3 warlock trees.

Synergies with other classes? Not worth it other than a /2 splash. One tree will have +20% spell power for 18th core and another tree will have an extra crit multi on spells.

Depends on the Capstone Enhancements, OP.

    why ask this now?

No one (except the devs) knows what the class entails?

    Just sayin,

    Moving on, not to return.

Traditionally, warlock was never a multiclass-friendly class. The more warlock levels you have, the stronger your eldritch blast/invocation is, and several of the highest level of invocations (dark invocations) were exceptionally powerful in PnP. It's a class that starts out fairly weak (like bards) and ends up particularly powerful the more class level you have. There was no super great point in heavily multiclassing warlock in PnP, because warlock is all about your eldritch blast and invocations.

That being said, it wouldn't be uncommon to see a bard/warlock or a fvs/warlock or even a fighter/barbarian/warlock type of build. Depending on how they're handling the warlock's damage (probably spellpower, but nobody knows but the devs, right now) splashing an arcane like sorcerer or even wizard wouldn't be a bad thing, to get more spellpower and critical chance, sorcerer more so due to the synergy with charisma and because the savant trees are pretty much all about damage. But, in essence, a warlock is treated more like a spellcaster; the deeper and more purer you are, the stronger the 'selling point' of the class is.

Another shiradi caster to irritate me...

Keeping in mind, that's just speculation. If they let the blast be no-cost (like it should be) then having them proc double rainbow might be overpowered, considering they could never run out of fuel.
