ca 34% downloading the new files of the patch / update... I get this error.
Deinstalling / Reinstalling does not change anything.
Firewall / Antivirus on-off does not change anything.
Starting the program as Admin or not does not change anything.
This has been happening to me since Update 25... which is why I have not been online much.
this is not fun any more.
Any ideas how I can play the game?

sounds like file write permissions.
did you install the game under "program files" (aka default settings) by chance?

Strange. I experienced this error myself; I'm a returning player reinstalling the client. Client hung at 55% with error code 0xffffffff80043012. I disabled Avira antivrus web protection, and ran installer again. It worked fine/issue was resolved. Very puzzling, OP :/
