Default new to this game, and in need some tech support (chat and friends)

first of all, the reason i started this game in the first place was to play with some co-workers. so far the game is good, but:

general, and party chat do not work at all for me (but tells work just fine)

and the biggest one, a cant add anyone to my friend list (which is the reason i started playing in the first place) whenever i try to add someone, i get "error code 122". i read online that "122" has something to do with a visual card, but i dont get why a visual card would impact adding a friend.

my game also freezes for about a minute when i open my character sheet/inventory/or anything really..

    thanks for reading/helping.
    p.s. im using windows vista.

How much system memory do you have? I had the long annoying freezes when I opened most windows (heaven forbid you open inventory in the middle of a fight) until i doubled my system memory.

As for the other, it sounds like you have a permutation of the chat bug. A friend came back to the game last night after being away for 6 months or more and she has multiple chat/friends list issues, unresolved so far. I had a mild variation of the chat bug for months that was miraculously cured by I think u19 or u20. I have no suggestions for your chat issues other than create a ticket. Good luck.

    Welcome!

chat bug - caused by vista security - the safest way to be unsafe.

Easiest way to fix said bug? Upgrade to Win7 or WinX.

other issue: Check your virtual memory - and make sure it is set to a set size for both upper and lower boundaries. that might help your performance issues.

    Have fun storming the castle!
