Game Freeze in Win8

I've had this 3 times now. I can play four between 5-10 minutes before it freezes up (screen freezes, music does the skipping record routine). Not sure what's going on. It may be important that all three times it happened in a Cannith Challenge (Disruptor, Picture Portals, and Labor Shortage) which is particularly frustrating because I'm f2p and was saving up my universal challenge tokens.

I'm running the high def version (happens both windowed and fullscreen)
Computer: Lenovo Y50-UHD
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M
OS: Windows 8.1
All drivers are up to date

I've had similar with another computer and what worked for me was to go into Advanced Power Settings and change the maximum processor consumption to 80%.
