    Default dying the slow death

First off please do NOT turn this thread into a bash turbine thread. We all are aware of the problems with this server. I am posting this as a request to the devs to help save our server. Every day I log on there are fewer and fewer people on. I have personally talked to a number of my online friends from this server and in all honesty a major reason they play (a lot) less is the inconsistency of the server. They feel no desire to "waste" their time, and neither they nor I feel like paying to transfer to a different server or start over there. Please devs remedy this. A week or two of Ghallanda only +20% xp or something like that would go a long way. I personally have been booted off in the middle of quests at LEAST 5 times, and I know I'm not the worst case. Again, please give people a reason to start playing our server again. (either that or merge us with another) Thanks.

This a million times over! I've been playing this game since beta and DnD nearly all my life, but I have never, ever seen it get this bad in all my time playing. I can't justify paying good money for a server that is down more than half the time and to be honest no one should be expected to its simply a poor investment. I don't post here as I've never felt the need to but seriously this whole 'hotfix' and 'maintenance period' is nothing more than a giant farce. To me (and from the people I've talked to) it seems like the real problem is with the actual servers themselves which cannot be fixed without screwing everything up on every server for an extended period of time. As Ghallanda is and has been dying over the past few years logically, why would Turbine waste the time, energy, and money fixing a server with a small population relative to all the other DDO servers? The fact is it's time to nut up or shut up for Turbine, either bite the bullet and fix the problem instead of bsing your way around it or kill Ghallanda alltogether. Sadly at this junction it seems like the latter is truly the best option. Don't get me wrong I love Ghallanda and all my GLand OG's but enough is enough. What use is a server that is down a dozen times in a week, or that has literally unplayable lag reliably every single night after 1 am EST?

edit- I don't mean to 'bash' Turbine but at this point they are bashing themselves through their incompetence. Like I said I love DDO and Turbine for making it, but it shouldn't mean that they are simply above criticism.

Maybe this is the kick in the backside that Turbine needs to do what they should have done a long time ago:

    MERGE GHALLANDA WITH WAYFINDER!!!

Kill two birds with one stone!

Wayfinder gets an influx of players AND G-Landers get somewhere to play!

Considering how few players there are on Wayfinder I don't envision too many name issues either but a simple {hidden} "of Ghallanda" will fix that!
