Pale Master Question for returning player

Hi again all
Im returning to ddo and with all changes i cant for a few hours now figure out how to make a 1 rogue and 7 Pale master

any advice i feel like a noob all over again

Step 1: Roll up a 1st level rogue.
Step 2: When you have enough XP to get to level 2, go to the wizard trainer and multiclass into Wizard.
Step 3: Start putting your Action Points into the Pale Master tree (Enhancements from your menu).
Step 4: Keep leveling Wizard until you are level 1 Rogue/7 Wizard.

That's all I can give without knowing more about why you can't do it.
