Build Request: Air Savant Sorcerer

Hello all.

I need a sorcerer build to duo with a friend that typically plays a rogue melee.

I would prefer an air savant (cosmetic preference) and it doesn't have to be a pure sorc build.

I don't have a lot of past lives, just one of rogue, monk, paladin, BF, Shad.

I have +6 tomes in all, and 36 build points.

Is it just for Heroic leveling or also Epics?

I would probably go with the standard Air/Fire Human build, following my own build posted some threads below.

Max charisma and Con, rest in Intelligence.

Take Empower, Maximize, Quicken, Heighten, Spell Focus: Evocation then you can get Spell focus: Enchant and then another feat of your choice. Could be either Greater spell focus, Mental Toughness or the active Past Life: Wizard if you have that.

For the Epic feats, in my own build I took 2x Greater Charisma, Epic Spell power: Electrical, Ruin and Hellball. The last 3 are pretty much mandatory but the 2x Greater charisma are not. Depending if you Cha is odd or even, you may want to swap one out for something like, like Epic Spell focus, Improved Mental toughness, another Spell focus and what not.

As for skills, Max UMD, Heal, Spellcraft and Concentration.

Enhancement wise, take all the Spell critical for your two elements, take Capstone in Air tree and the core 4 in the Fire tree to have Immolation which is a powerful Fire DoT. I also take Wand and Scroll Mastery in Eldritch Knight since I heal scroll healing besides Cocoon to self-heal and in heroic it's just so good.

I saw your build but I didn't think I could use it because I don't have all those past lives or gear and I didn't know how important it was to the build.

But if I can make something viable and fun without all that I'll certainly give it a shot

Sure you can! Just need to adjust and adapt according to the situation.

For instance, if you are having trouble holding mobs, just get Greater Spell Focus: Enchantment and 2x greater charisma or 1x greater charisma and Epic spell focus enchantment. Same goes for Evocation. Unless you are running the hardest quests on Epic Elite, like ToEE, you shouldn't have any troubles. Let me know how it works out for you
