    Default A little input would be awesome!

    Hey guys, just getting back after about three years and the game has changed a lot. I group when I can, but end up soloing mostly because most people zerg and don't have time for us newbs to dungeon crawl while we learn.

    I am making a WF Sorc and this is what I have so far...

    I am currently speccing into Ice/Acid Savant (could not find a generator to post where I have points in those)

    Some questions...

    What are some of the "needed" feats for Sorc? I was thinking SF: Enchantment and GSF: Evocation for future choices.

    I have heard Fire/Air is a better combo? I currently run the acid/ice atm because it seems to work better at lower levels with the undead, and ice is the only one that offers a SLA AE that I can see (At lower levels). I could see switching to fire/air after maybe level 7 when I can get Firewall?

    Lastly, is there some gear I should keep an eye out for while I progress? I am a VIP so I do clear all content for that level before I move on. Is there some named drop gear I should try and attain on my way to 20 before I TR?

    Fire is good at low levels because you're fighting undead and they take extra damage from Wall of Fire. Whatever Savant you prefer, always make sure to take a variety of elemental damage spells, in case the enemy you're fighting is immune to some.

    A lot of your attack spells will be Evocation; Greater Evocation will be helpful. Enchantment or Necro aren't bad choices if you can get your DCs up to matter. It's harder on a WF due to the CHA penalty/lack of CHA bonuses. Heighten is good for your DCs; Quicken is good for slow spells or stuff that you don't want to get interrupted (Reconstruct). With the way PRR works now, you should consider Adamantine Body when you can fit the gear/enhancements to lower your ASF.

    I just did a Sorc life, and while I have a lot of named gear from TRs, I don't think caster lives are all that dependent on gear. If you don't have a Minos Legens, that's helpful to slot your fort and toughness. Most anything you really need can either be found in lootgen (weapons with spell power/crit chance) or Cannith-crafted (primary and secondary stats, resistance, false life, spell DC weapons, spell point items). You can likely find people to craft you these items on your server's trade board.

    Edited to add: Electric Loop and the fire/acid tier 1 SLAs are also AoE; it's just that the AoE is very small in the case of fire/acid.
