    Default Let us speak!!!

It is about time we are allowed to have the words we are speaking to show over our heads in public areas and a toggle clickie to turn keymapping on and off to do so. More social interaction I think would do some good. The whole /tell thing is sometimes annoying. City places should be like giant chat rooms, and there should be allowance for those trusted to manipulate the speech of new random NPCs etc...a whole can of worms of bringing together the community in server events where you could start having some randomization or revisting of old quests with strange occurances within them...beyond mimics. Like sometimes running a haunted house kind of scenario where the devs play costumed roles within the dungeons as we all sign in for our turn in scheduled screenings.... groups one at a time ushered in. Or even teleported to the scene whenever it is their turn...

The art and animations are all superb, you just need to breathe new life in them.

Why not start inviting the developers a game in which they could also play? And invite others to play with them in special character slots customized to whatever role they are assigned for whatever the event entails?

A good example of what kind of things I am talking about you will find in an old sandbox game called Ultima Online. You would do well to look into it, even though it is rather old as far as computer games go.

Of course you would have to assign the arrow keys for movement if the toggle for keymap override is toggled on.

There isn't enough "NO" in the language allowed here...

    No. We live/relax/recreate here.

If we wanted bubbles (or overhead text, same as...) we'd be playing those Freakbook games like Farmdrudge & such.

Whenever someone has a good idea, it is just a hunch that the developers come and troll it. Just a guess.

I'm all for freedom of suggestions. It's just that in this particular case, our idea of "good" differs. A lot.

The thread is young yet. Give it some time so more of the Monday crowd has time to wake up and come strolling thru and see how things develop.

    How about Hell No !!!

While I have the screen real estate to cope with bubbles or text over the head.... many people don't have that much screen left once you take into account all the shortcut bars needed to play.
Having more of the scenery covered by bubble or floating text whenver somebody tells something would be a nightmare.

i don't see anything wrong with simple text that we can choose from a list like "Greetings" and such. kind of like commands you can use for /dance. i don't like the idea of conversations though because some things just should be private and that's what /tells are for. we already have chat channels for conversation as it is anyways.

You are the one choosing not to play alts.

Casual player now investing way less than I used to into the game, playing 1-3 months at a time and still want nothing to do with Reaper. #improvepuggrouping#alldifficultiesmatter

No its not a good idea one or two have brought it up before and the vast majority doesnt want it cluttering their screen up.

(I'm don't have an opinion about the OP, but just am responding to this one post)

No, there are enough of us other players who get on and say that we don't want various changes or that we don't think a change would be worth the estimated development time, but from any interaction I've ever had with the forum-lurking devs, they read a LOT, and only post if they think it will be beneficial to a discussion. Or sometimes, if Varg thinks it'd be funny, but they still aren't the ones who troll ideas.

I, for instance, typically am one of the players who tells people that such and such won't be as easy to code as they think. (I see a lot of, "They already have the code, they should just be able to copy and paste it over and make this other thing happen! Ten minutes, max.") But I'm not a dev.

Sorry, Enderoc. I don't think this is a very good idea, either.

Maybe, but you wouldn't know it in this thread, since no good ideas have been presented.

The word bubble idea is great! I think they should implement this as an option you can toggle on and off, so EVERYONE is happy.

We have many things on our screen, floating numbers, emote symbols, Debuff symbols, etc.

The text in the TELL screens helps keep text from being lost. At this time I don't think this feature is necessary.

Please no, my screen is cluttered enough as it it. And I don't really believe it would be anymore 'immersive' whether I am reading the text in the chat box or reading it in floating around. It's still just reading text.

Sounds more like someone is insecure about what others are saying in tells and wants to see what is said around them.

    Grow up and not signed.
