Hey Everyone,

Just curious if anyone can answer this?

This chest goes in the cargohold, and costs 65 astral shards. I want to assume that this chest is permanent, but since all other cargohold amenities need to be "rented" I wanted to double check before my guild shells out the shards to buy it.

Does this chest need to be renewed or is it permanent once purchased and placed?

Can it be moved once placed?

From your description, I believe you are talking about the old airship amenities, http://ddowiki.com/page/Guild_Airshi...ship_Amenities, and you would be renting the chest. You would have to pay again.

Only the new amenities are permanent once paid for (http://ddowiki.com/page/Guild_Airshi...7_availability).

Anything that goes in the cargo hold is the old amenities. These do not cost astral shards. The one that costs shards cannot go in the cargo hold.

Guild Storage I goes in a "Hold" room, which is different than the cargo hold. This is the same location that things like "Shrine to the Devourer I" would go, in one of the normal lower decks.

If you buy the one for shards, and place it in a hold room (remember, not the cargo hold), it is permanent. There is a Guild chest available for the cargo hold, but that will have to be renewed. The good news for that is it only costs plat.

Well, never knew about those, sorry. I don't have any issue with anyone in the guild using the chest, so I don't restrict it with that type.

Our guild is the same. We only use general use chests. One of these days we will invest in the Guild Vault but will probably avoid the special use chests except for overflow of like items.
