CTD without error.

I was playing yesterday with... well I was having some lag but I was playing just fine, relatively speaking.

Now today I went to Thelanis to make an experimental character and half way through my first run of those annoying little tombs in Korthos, only to end up with the client disappearing without warning or notification. I managed to get back in and finish the quest. I logged out with plans to come back to that character in a couple days. I then went to Orion and made a new character, this one I used the Veteran II bonuses on it to level it to 7. I finished leveling it up, and made my way towards Korthos to do the same quest. I made it as far as Korthos, never made it off Korthos docks. As soon as I hit W to walk the client disappeared again. So in both cases I would say I was logged in roughly for 10 minutes before getting this error.

Any clues?

This happened to me a couple days ago and again just 10 minutes ago. No lag or warning beforehand; just one second in game and the next at the desktop with no errors or anything. First time was in the bank in the marketplace and second time was on sorrowdusk isle. Given that it's infrequent and apparently random it's not too much of an issue other than annoyance.

edit: forgot to mention, this was Khyber server.

Delete the dat files and repatch.

I'm getting the same problem as well. It's not very consistent, it can happen in private instance or in public instance. The worst time is in middle of a fight and when I reconnect, I would be dead.

same thing- terminal failure event is the only notification in the event viewer- CTD with no error, no warning not connection issues- Ill try deleting dat files.

Same problem here: Game just closes without any message. Often even when starting client.

And I made 2 complete downloads and fresh installations since its started.

PS: Are you using SSD's for C drive?
