*appears from behind*
I can't tell for the others, but my six sense is based on 24 years of Internet... ( yes I started before The Web through BBS and Usenet. )
By reading a title I know if it's something I should bother to look at or not... Once it's open in a tab, I fly over the thread and check if there's something interesting or not...
Then I see if I can add something to the thread or not. ( or if I'm in a foul mood if I can find somebody to troll ;D )
There's threads that I just open for the popcorn, others because I have an interest in them... and last, like this one, because they have a title that made me curious.
Now I've chimed in too. *grins*
On G-Land : Flavilandile, Blacklock, Yaelle, Millishande, Larilandile, Gildalinde, Tenalafel, and many other...
I miss mrcow and some of the others, always had good posts. When neg rep still existed I wanted to get to 1500 but now don't care. Don't think anyone really gives rep any longer.
Cannith - Falconsbane(8 - 3rd life), NeedOil (14), NeedMead, Needfood, hobbitarcher(5)
Sarlona - Zebidiahh (19.8), Anotherpers(20), Smurgh(16), Falconsbane(14), Needoil(15)
The first rule of the trashcan guild is expect to die...
There is no second rule.
Well one still get from time to time reputation, however for those that are already have a bunch of greenies the positive reputation received will usually be just a gray box. But indeed it is not that frequent anymore as before.
I actually found a thread about Reputation Ratio:
Forum REPUTATION to POSTS Ratio! All in all it doesn't seem to be easy to gather an exact number...
Along I also found other nice reads:
Forum Reputation (What happens if a user's Reputation gets too low?)
Reputation is now no longer anonymous (Short time when we could see who gave neg rep)
I-wonder (about reputation on mods/devs)
How Does Rep Work?
I've reached 1500 reputation points
All in all it seems the question come up regularly in one way or the other.

I never got much neg rep. Probably about 5% of rep was negative from people that could give it, 5% negative from people that couldn't give negs (so it counted as 0) and 90% positive. I expect that I had a higher than average negative rep percentage too as I didn't shut up if I had a controversial opinion, many people are more polite than me.
Most negs came from asking for more content that was difficult enough to require persistence to complete, and came from people that thought completing difficult content in DDO is about gear quality, not tactics.
I don't have a zerging problem.
I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

In remembering folks who were great contributors in the past, I'd like to submit for approval some of the original map-makers.
Dorim and his successor Thelallian - both of whom have moved on but their maps were great aids in the early days.

Thelallian's Map Shop http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=324827
No disrespect intended for the new generation of mappers.
EDIT: Gah, can't believe I forgot Mjoll. Thanks for catching my oversight, SisAm.

Yes indeed great maps and I guess most of them are still used and linked on the wiki. While Dorim and Thelallian mainly focused on Explorer Maps, Mjoll made them for Quests: Cartographing Stormreach and environs. Can't say about his Rep status as he disabled his, But with only about 300 post counts I assume with his maps he got quite a good post/rep ratio. But as like many others he is also gone since 2013...
The Hatchery
Okay Jerry, possible issue...
I'm guessing that there is a set equation in place regarding some ratio of rep giver to rep receiver to slow down rep gain.
However, I just received a tap from a 5-dot-greenis "Noted" forumite, and that was still grey-dotted. I'm thinking something may be kinda fudgy with the internal maths.
The Hatchery
The Hatchery
Note sure if he is still reading this, you maybe want to write him a PM about that. Unfortunately I can't give out rep for the moment, otherwise I would have checked if mine would come in green (in the name of science).
But I assume it is like with the levels in DDO, everything 5 levels below won't give any XP:
2. Noted
3. Reliable
4. Trustworthy
5. Commended
6. Renowned
7. Honored
8. Hero of the People
So to get a greenie you maybe need to get it from someone that is at least Reliable?
Last edited by SisAmethyst; 04-18-2015 at 12:51 PM.
Possibly so. I got a 'Reliable' tap a bit ago and it was a 12-point greenie. ... So 0 from a Noted, and 12 from a Reliable. That's quite a jump for one tier difference.
[caveat: This ain't about the size of our Greenis's as much as it's about finding the contents of the black box - and making sure the stuff is working the way they mean for it to be. It's a nerd thing - it's what we do.]
edit: ...and /nudged Jerry to drop by the thread again.
